"Alright. So. This is the boardwalk, and there are lots of little shops and restaurants near it," I explained to Nate after getting Adri to finally turn down the music. I gestured with my hand at all of the souvenir shops and pizza restaurants and art galleries that lined the road, before it turned into a parking lot beside the boardwalk.
"If you want to get a job for the summer, this is the place to look. Me, Adri, and a bunch of other people work at Sam's father's restaurant, which is at the very end of the boardwalk. I might be able to get you in if you wanna work" I told him, and he nodded his head, which I took as an agreement that he did want a job there. I'd have to talk to Sam.
I had been driving slowly by, but now that we were past it I sped up a little. Pointing out the shops that crowded close together by the road along the way, we finally got to the coastline where many hotels and summer houses sat. There were children running in the water and splashing each other with their parents watching carefully over them, teens laying in the sun or playing volleyball, and even a few grandparents enjoying the rays. This was the tourist spot, and us locals thought most of them were so annoying.
"Stay away from the tourists," I said, warning him. "They can get so annoying you don't even understand. Some of the one's that live in the beach houses are okay though, they throw pretty sick ass parties."
Driving along the oceanside road farther, we passed the last of the houses, and continued along the sea. It was a hot day, so we had the windows rolled all the way down, enjoying the warm breeze. As we reached the peninsula, I slowed down, and took the turn on the road that went to the end. It was lined with overhanging trees and big houses.
"These are all basically summer homes," I explained. "They belong to the children of politicians or doctors, the rich ones."
The road opened up to a parking lot , and at the very end there was a little hut. People were in a line, and there was a dock coming off of the land which held jet skis and a couple of boats from floating away. A few people were already riding crazily across the waves, and I could see Nate had his eyes glued to it. I bet he'd never even gone jet skiing! I'd have to take him one day.
"As you probably already guessed, this is where you can rent jet skis or go water skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, and pretty much anything you want to do in water. They have it all."
"This looks awesome!" Nate exclaimed, jumping up and down in his seat like a little boy. Adri and I exchanged looks, then tried to hid smirks.
"What?" He asked, looking at us with a confused expression.
"Oh nothing little boy, nothing," Adri said, laughing a little.
"Okay..." He trailed off, giving us a weird look, and then looked at the jet ski's again with excitement.
"I'll take you jet skiing tomorrow, but now that I showed you the town I just wanna go back home and lay in the sun. Sound good?" I asked him.
"Tomorrow? Okay sounds great! And sure, whatever you wanna do," He told me, and I could already tell he was totally waiting for this day to end.
"Okay, it's a plan," I said, and smiled at him. Turning back up the music, we drove back home, all of us singing at the top of our lungs, Nate a little off key. Nevermind make that a lot off key, he barely even knew the words!

Arriving home, I ran to my room and changed into a random bathing suit, Nate doing the same across the hall. In record time, I finished and flung myself out the door, slamming into something hard.
