The Democratic and Republican parties became obsolete. (For the time being.)
They were replaced by two new, completely customized parties: Clintonian (Clinton supporters) and Trumpese (Trump supporters). There were also "independent" parties such as: pretty much neutral, anyone but Clinton, anyone but Trump, and anyone but Clinton OR Trump.
It's true. Accept it, you must. Forever... and ever.
