Ever heard of a Mary-Sue? Y'know, kinda like one of those overpowered twerps that say things like:
"OH. MY. ENTIRE. GOODNESS. I am going to a beauty pageant tonight and I'm the most pretty/handsome person ever but I don't think I am! Sure, I have a trillion abs, a flawless face and body, and every single girl/boy flocks towards me when my tri-colored hair glitters, but I don't think I'm cut out for it! On top of that, I have impossible god-like abilities that I could potentially use to take over the world with, but this pageant means everything."
Okay, so maybe they won't say something exactly like that, but you get the picture. (I was cringing while writing that)
In that (completely made-up on the spot) paragraph, there were words like flawless and god-like and these are big no-nos for making an OC.
So, since you've gotten this far in the Author's Note, I'll tell you that in this book, you shall find tips and other things for the big Yes's and No's for making OC's!
