Chapter Four- Everythings a race :( (Short Chapter Warning)
Kanna's POV:
The day was pretty uneventful except for that boy incident. To be honest none of the boys here had any decency. Only this guy named Kevin. He was a transfer student from America. He picked up Japanese quickly and he was pretty cool.
At the end of the day, I met up with Saikawa, per-usual, and waved, a slight smile on my face I was learning human emotions for 4 years, I think I finally figured out that smiling is a good thing for most things. When Saikawa came over she grinned widely.
"Let's race to the ice cream store! I call getting a head start!" and with that she started running. I giggled and ran, catching up with her quickly. She turned to where I was surpassing her even though she had a whole block head start and her eyes widened. She wasn't paying attention to where she was running and tripped on a large crack on the sidewalk.
"KANNA-SANNNN!" She screamed. I reacted fast and caught her in a dip. Her eyes were shut tight as she was expecting the impact of the ground colliding with her head. But when she realized that she hadn't hit the ground immediately, she opened her eyes to see me with a worried expression on my face. She looked back at my eyes and then looked around seeing I was dipping her and she blush... more than she usually does, which is basically humanly impossible. My face got tinted with hot pink as my worried expression turned into an intense glare. Saikawa was looking back at me with an equally intense stare. My heart was Racing. Hers was probably too. I realized that we've been like this for five minutes and I believe people were staring now so I got up, helping her up as well. When we stood up straight, Saikawa rushed to me and hugged me tightly.
"S-saikawa?" I stuttered. I never stutter. She buried her head on my shoulder.
"Thanks for saving me twice today!" She replied, not leaving her place. I pat her hair.
"Y-yeah," I stuttered again. Am I sick? Am I dying? I should ask Kobayashi since she's a human. I let go of the hug and gestured to the Ice cream parlor. "Let's go," Saikawa nodded and we headed in.

Sorry this chapter is short! But don't worry I'll make an extra long one sooner or later. Testing is almost over and I'm doing pretty dandy. I'm gonna go now BAIIIIIIII!!!!
