Chapter five~ You Scream I scream we all scream for ice cream!
Saikawa's POV:
Kanna-San has been saving me so much lately! I think I might have 7 years of bad luck! Did I see a black cat? Maybe I walked under a ladder and hadn't noticed. I was getting terrified but my mind was distracted as we walked into the ice cream shop.
My mouth watered. It was like a waterfall was forming in my mouth. Suddenly I got the chills and a shiver went ( is it up or down?) my spine. Well whatever I was cold and it's like summer so I'm wearing short sleeves and a skirt. Kanna-San must of noticed because she wrapped an arm around me. I mean at least that's what I think. I feel so safe in her arms. W-Wait I meant... er...
We walked to the front and ordered our ice cream's.
"Hello what would you like today?" asked the lady who was serving and ice cream to a little boy and his mother.
"Can I get a cookie dough (My favorite) please?" The lady smiled and then looked at Kanna-San.
"And what do you want?" Kanna-San shrugged and pointed to a random one.
"Strawberry?" The lady asked and Kanna-San nodded, confirming her order. Strawberry ice cream for Kanna-San? HOW CUTE!! I started heating up and the fact that Kanna-San had her arm wrapped around me did not help. We got our ice cream's and headed outside to sit at one of the outside tables.
We started to enjoy our sweets, not having any conversation as we ate in a comfortable silence. It's really hot today I hope my ice cream doesn't melt to fas--- too late. I hadn't eaten fast enough like Kanna-San had so mine melted and the remaining ice cream (which was quite a bit) fell on my shirt and trailing down, finally reaching my lap. I shrieked.
"Ah! AH! TOO COLD! TOO COLD!" I kept my hands up in the air, trying not to move too much so that the ice cream wouldn't attack the rest of me.
"Kanna-San help!" She ran into the store and came out again with paper towels and started blotting the napkin on my shirt while I cleaned my skirt. When we were done I looked up at her and smiled. She smiled back. I then booped her nose that had some melted vanilla on it. I laughed when I saw the dot on her face. She looked at me frustrated.
"Oh it's funny?" She said looking sinister. I gulped.
"You're gonna have to pay... lick it off my nose." I looked at her confused. She was acting so different then her usual monotone self. Well her voice was still nonchalant but still. Had she finally understand the meaning of having emotions? DID I HELP HER LEARN SOMETHING? I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF I SHOULD JUST BECOME A TEACHER RIGHT AWAY. Anyway, back to the point.
"Um... What?" I asked.
"You put ice cream on my nose so you have to lick it off." I blushed and giggled at such a stupid reason but decided not to argue because she wouldn't give up until she won. I stood up and pressed my forehead against hers and licked her nose AND SUDDENLY SOMETHING MAGICAL HAPPENED. Kanna-San... giggled. SHe never gIGgLEs! Or laughs or chuckled or make any sort of emotion with her voice and that giggle meant everything to me. It was so cute. I giggled too and both our giggled became chuckles then laughter and it was such a blessing to hear Kanna-San like this. We stood there laughing for a good 2 minutes for stopping to catch our breathes.
"We should get going home." Kanna-San said. I nodded. Kanna-San held out her hand for me to hold. I just stared at and then stared at her confused.
"Come on are we going or not?" She moved her outstretched hand telling me to hold and I blush deeply and took it. We looked at our hands interlock and then headed out to Kanna-San's house first. I dropped her off home and then walked home too.
As I walked home all I could think about was the whole day in general. The boys, the race, the ice cream parlor. I smiled at myself as I thought about her.
Oh no. I think I'm melting.

OKKKKKAAAAAYYYYYY! Sorry I hadn't written in a while, I had a bit of writer's block and I don't Wattpad at my house only at my grandmother's house but I might be able to write a bit more this weekend because it's A 4 DAY WEEKEND BABY! So yeah hopefully I'll be able to write as much as possible during this time out of school. I'm gonna go now so BAAAAAIIIIIIII!!!! <3
