Sorry for the cliffhanger, I just needed to recuperate after seeing who was with me and where I was.
I awoke in my bedroom. The warm, cozy place that I knew I could no longer call my own. Along with Lukas asleep next to me. Due to the startle, I punched him in the arm. In turn, startling him.
"Ow! What was that for?" Lukas demanded.
"What was knocking me out for? So you can claim to have slept with a woman?" I spat back. This time I was the one to pull a victory smile.
"No, not at all! I felt it to be vital to be able to show you my world."
"What world? Earth is the only world known to man kind!"
"Before I say what I am about to tell you," Lukas starts, "you have to stay quiet and hold all questions until the end, that is, if you have any.
"You can see monsters, correct? But only when someone is feeling hate. What if I were to tell you that there are hundreds of thousands of different monsters out there, each representing a different emotion. What do you see when you look at me? Look beyond my physical features."
"How am I supposed to do that? No hu--" I start.
"Just do it! Please!" Lukas interrupts.
"Fine," I say as I roll my eyes. Except, when I actually try, I do see something. It's a blue-gray being about as tall and wide as Lukas. The monster keeps Lukas's pointed hair style and hazel eyes and covered in fur from the tip of its hair to the calluses on his feet. Oh and there's something else about this creature: it seems so terrified that it's about to pee itself. When I open my eyes again I see Lukas, seeming almost as terrified as the monster I saw within him.
"You're terrified," I manage, "Why?"
"Because what I'm about to tell you next could either save or destroy the world."
