A bucket full of ice cold water was not how Eli wanted to wake up on his firsy day of junior year. But because of the stupid ghost that follows him around that exactly how it happened. "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, TEDDY" I exclaim jumping out my now sopping wet bed. The ghoul did nothing but laugh even harder at his best friend "Dude you should've seen your face" he yells as he cracks even more. "Fuck off " I grumble before hoping in the shower. I meet teddy when I first moved here with my parents when I was five. Teddy had died back in 2001 when I was 1. He won't tell me how he died, but I assume it's offensive to ask. Banging on the door brings me back to reality "Elly hurry up, you're gonna be late" My mom yells through the door. I turn off the water and wrap around my waist before heading back to my room, but not before I check the entrance for any traps. Low and behold, a bucket of water drops the the door frame and spills at my feet. I chuckled at Teddy's attempt "Nice try dude, but seriously knock it off I have to get ready". Teddy appears in front of me,pouting "aww come on Ted, school isn't that important " He whines. I roll my eyes before picking up ripped jeans, a black flannel and blue galaxy shirt. I pick up my brush to try and calm my wild Curly blue hair. "Is lover boy gonna finally talk to his crush" Teddy snickers from the back. I flip him off before grabbing my bag and continuing my walk down stairs. 'I'm just saying, it's been four years, grow a pair and ask him' Teddy telepathically tells me. We have a souls bound, meaning he can sadly talk to me when ever. 'As I said ,I will just give me time' I reply. I hear teddy groan 'Yeah, and Donald trump is gonna be a good president' he says sarcastically. I tune him out as I sit down at the breakfast table with my mom. "Morning, mom" I say as I take a bite of cereal. "Good morning sweetie, are you ready for the first day back?" She asked I shrug and swallow anthor bite of cereal. "Well, you better get going if you want to be on time" she says and kisses my forehead. I smile and hug my mom." Okay, see you later mom. Love you" I say as a walk out the house. 'Your mom is so nice' Teddy says. He's always been a huge fan of my mom for some reason. 'Yeah, she the best I could ask for'. 'So what are we gonna do about your little crush this year' he asked I turn and look at him. His blue eyes always have a glint of mischief in them, and his light brown hair is always in a quiff as always. 'Honstly, I don't know' he is about to reply but the bus cuts him short. As I walk through the alley of seats, I'm meet with countless papers and homophobic slurs. I finally find a seat in the back of the bus. Anthor year of hell, here I come.
