It was a nervous, dry laugh.

I surely didn't believe it.

My eyes washed over the simple note, over and over. I took in every line, every word, every detail. It doesn't make sense.

All I could muster was, "I don't understand—you just let it happen?"

"Well, don't get me wrong, we were all just as confused as you are," the doctor replied. "We're a hospital. It would be wrong of us to let a civilian die."

I was about to open my mouth, by the doctor continued.

"Their intentions were clearly good, and even provided funds to keep you alive... ah, regardless of them carelessly invading a hospital with a client we didn't even know existed until just yesterday."

I just sat there.

In a hospital bed, not knowing where the hell I am, and why someone decided to save me.

"Huh."

"I know this is a lot to take in, so we're getting in a specialist to help you find your family, okay? Rest, you have a big day tomorrow."

(Y/N) Second Person POV

"So, since when were you some undercover vigilante?" your roommate joked.

You rolled your eyes. "Ha ha. So funny. I just helped someone not die is all."

"Oh, by breaking into a hospital and just plopping a body there? Crossing your fingers and hoping the hospital will just—I don't know, be okay with it?!"

"Hey! I provided money! I'll have you know I have a job and I'm a doctor!" you said defensively.

"No, you aren't!" your roommate scolded, "Reality check: you're my roommate for the dorm we're living in! As in, the dorm for the medical university we're currently enrolled in! As in, you're not a certified doctor with a full-time job! You're part-time at Hobby Lobby!"

"I just wanted to... emphasize?" you hesitantly squeaked. "Okay, okay. I lied. But, I gave money for the funds and I wrote a note."

Your roommate rolled his eyes. "Oh yeah, easy peasy lemon squeezy, right?"

"Harvey, look—"

"Geez, for all we know he could be dead right now and your plan didn't work out! How did—How did you even get all that money?!"

You were silent.

Harvey squinted at you. It clicked. "Oh no. Ohhh no. Don't tell me," he started to shake his head.

You stared at your robot sprawled on the floor. You tried to enlighten Harvey, but he wasn't having it. "C'mon, I won a lot of money. I know it's—"

"Illegal? Yes, I know! Why did you go bot fighting?" The brunett boy pestered.

"I have my hobbies, you have yours! And excuse me for running on minimum wage and not wanting to be in student debt."

Harvey rubbed his temples, a sharp exhale escapes from his lips.

"...(Y/N), what if you were caught? What would happen?"
