25 Days Late, I Know

Twenty-five days ago (yes, I counted), I was able to finish this short story and I’m so glad that I did. Get to finish it, I mean, because I’m a busy person and all, and writing used to be my priority then. But now, since I’ll be a senior next year, I want to focus on my studies to get to a good college.

So anyway, I just want to say thank you again!

Even if it’s kind of late now.

And there are a lot of things about the characters that I wasn’t able to put here because some of the things just didn’t fit in with the storyline. So I want to at least put some “extras” here. You know, just some details that I’ve left out.

It’s mostly about Gus, by the way. Like 99.9% of it.

Okay, let’s start.

Augustine Robb is a real person, haha omg, but his last name isn’t Robb. You’ll know what it is if you see it in my profile lol.

The reason why Gus went to Australia for a year, when his life in America is so much better and more his pace, will be revealed soon. I think. (PS, all my stories are connected somehow. PPS, he’s gonna show up in Loose Ends. Stay tuned so you’ll find out why!)

Gus is actually 18 years old, and I know how weird it was that he attended Junior High at that age, but again, it’ll be revealed in my other book.

Some of the stuff in the story were real – like him going on a vacation to Cambodia through their family’s private jet, the one where he slid on the field during soccer practice, the slicked-back hair and glasses (almost the same one that Logan Lerman wears in the picture with a beige-ish backdrop).

But he doesn’t have an Aston Martin, he has a goddamn Porsche 993. It’s red, not blue, but he likes the shade of blue on a sports car.

I’m not Australian, and I have no idea what Australia (or its people, except for their accents) are like, so forgive me if the story doesn’t sound like Australia at all. I mean, I have a few, distant relatives there that I only keep in touch with once in four years. But I want to go there someday.

Also, 90% of the stories here occur in the US or Great Britain. So yeah, that explains it.

Primarily, Charlotte and Gus WERE supposed to end up together, but it’d seem predictable and too fictional. Predictable because almost in every novel, the male and female main protagonists date and get married and live happily ever after.

And in here, well, Gus (the male protagonist) slowly becomes the antagonist, if you haven’t noticed. It’d also be too fictional, because guys like Gus – the party boy/player type – don’t really settle for girls who are visibly imperfect, we all know that. That kind of thing only happens once in a blue moon, or in movies and books.

So yeah, I’m trying to be realistic by not letting them end up together. Even I would think it’s quite impossible and idealistic for that to happen.

Another thing, the reason why I didn’t let anything super romantic to happen between Charlotte and Tom is because I want to make sure that Charlotte learned her lesson not to jump into anything so quickly. In that way, I can say she’s my best character so far because she’s changing and all.

Also because I believe that if someone really truly loves you, and you’re meant to be together, things can wait. Like what Charlotte said, nothing worth having comes easy.

It’s going to be cliché if my story ends with a new romance blooming, right? I mean no offense. I think it’s great that the characters get to be happy in the end, but I just think there are other ways for them to be happy that doesn’t include love and relationships.

Plus I want them (the four of them) to enjoy their high school life while it lasts. They say it’s the best time of your life, right?

Katherine and Xander WERE supposed to end up together, but I didn’t have enough time to both unravel Gus’ malicious intentions to Charlotte and let Charlotte’s two best friends be each other’s interests. Maybe I could but I don’t know where to put that in.

Plus it’ll be weird if her two friends start dating, because if it’s like lunch break the four of them are gonna sit together and the two would participate in acceptable levels of PDA, while the other two – in which they both like each other – would be sort of left out because they’re not dating yet.I don’t know if you’re getting this, maybe you stopped reading the minute you read the first word lol. That’s okay though.

Anyway, you can stop reading now because I’ll just babble about the facts I know about the real Gus, the one I actually like.

Book Gus and Real Gus have some similarities I forgot to mention a while back. They’re both from celebrity-business-elite families. They party a lot. And bang a couple of chicks, too. Owns sports cars and likes boyish stuff (skateboards, guns, knives, etc).

They both have ex-girlfriends that only Victoria’s Secret Angels can compete with. I may be exaggerating, but I don’t know. I think I’ll go lesbian for his exes, though. They’re too pretty and perfect.

They’re so fucking rich that they can just fly anywhere they want with their jets at any time, and buy anything they want without batting an eye.

They’re fucking gorgeous, too. I mean, think Austin Butler and Francisco Lachowski together – that’s the guy I like. Yeah, I know. He’s supermegafoxy hot.

OMG WOW THIS REACHED 900 PLUS WORDS ALREADY I NEED TO STOP.

Again, thanks for reading this you guys! It really means a lot : )

Xoxo!
