Mal's POV
I woke up in the bed with Ben. Today we were going to announce our engagement. I was playing with ring in my hand. Ben starts to stir in bed and I give him a kiss on his head.
"Morning Beastie"I say playfully
"Morning Beautiful" he says to me
"I'm nervous" I tell him
He sits up and holds my chin so I look him in the eyes.
"Why" he questioned
"Because I know not everyone is going to be happy about our engagement" I tell him truthfully
"Who cares what they think the only thing that matters is us. They will get over it if they don't like it"he told me
"You really think so" I asked him
"I know so. Now come on let's go eat breakfast"he says holding out his hand for me
We walk downstairs and sit at our usual spots at the table. The sun caught my ring and I glittered.
"Adam pay up" Belle said holding out her hand.
He handed her a 20.
"I told you" she told him
"Told you what"Ben asked
"That you to were going to get engaged before your 1 year anniversary" she said proudly
"So you bet on us"he said
"Mhm"she replied
Me and Ben both laughed.
"So are you guys going to announce your engagement today" Adam asked
"Yep" I replied
2 hours later.
"Come on Mal" Ben says
"Coming"I reply
"You ready"he asked
"I don't know if I can do it Ben" I tell him
"You can you wanna know why because I'm listening to my heart"he says just like at his coronation
"I wanna listen to my heart too" I say back
He kisses me and walked outside to the podium. With his parents on each side.
"People of Auradon as your king I would like to present your future queen" he says and that means it's my cue to walk out. I take a deep breathe and walk out. People clap,chant,and whistle. People are taking pictures and keep asking us questions.
"That will be all" Ben says saving me
"See I knew you could do it" he says and kisses me on the cheek
"Thanks" I say blushing
It was late and we had school in the morning so we went to bed.
