"Levy let's go, I'm tired of being here. I'm hungry and tired and you know I have no fun when you bring me here." Gajeel complained.

"Oh hush. I'm almost done okay? I just have to get a few more, can you wait until then?" I looked at him, my glasses low on my nose. We were currently at the library, I had a mission in which I was stuck on, so I was trying to gather information.

"Levy..." He started but I  interrupted.

"Please Gajeel.." I gave him my saddest/cutest puppy face and I saw his eyes soften.

"Fine, just hurry." He huffed and sat back on the couch, and I smiled in victory and kept looking.

I only searched about 20 more minutes before I gathered all the books and checked them out. Gajeel, being the trooper he is, helped me carry my books out of the place and to the train station.

I watched him walk out the corner of my eyes. I really had a crush on that grumpy guy. It really sucked, because he told me he didn't know how to love. He said that I shouldn't waste my time with crushes and stupid feelings, but I couldn't help it. He made it so hard. When he would let me play with his hair, or help me with carrying my books, when he'd come over and wed just hang out and I'd talk for hours and he'd just listen.

But I have noticed that he's changed a little. He has started acting different... Distant. And that scares me, because I don't want to lose him. Whether its friends forever, I want him by my side. Even now he's a good 3 feet beside me.

I try to ignore the pain in my heart and keep walking. The wait for the train was silent so was the walk onto the train. I looked at him and wondered what he was thinking about. His eyes were looking out the window and his head was propped on his hand.

"Gajeel..?"

His eyes looked over to me. "Mhm?"

"Are you okay?"

He looked at me with surprise. "Yeah, why?"

I shrugged. "You've seemed different lately. Maybe I'm just looking to much into it."

"Yeah I think you are." He responded gruffly. "I've told you about this 'feelings' crap. I'm the same I was last week."

"I know, but you've been acting so different lately.. Ever since the last mission we went on you've seemed different towards me.  And I want to know if I did something wrong..."

"Levy, I'm fine. You haven't done anything wrong don't, worry about it. Or me." He looked back out the window.

"Okay.. But I just feel like-"

"Enough, you know I don't go in to sappy feelings okay? Just let it go."

I nodded and let the subject go. I didn't let his words get to me, I'm used to it by now.

I opened one of my books and started researching. I tried not to let my thoughts get in the way of my work it was just hard.

I wish Gajeel was more open, that he'd let me in and I could figure out what's bothering him. I'd do anything to make him happy. To see that smile, or even arrogant smirk I'm so used to seeing, that has been missing.

The rest of the trim ride was full of research and glances up at the man who had my heart.

When we finally arrived to my house I put all my books on the coffee table and walk to my bedroom to get changed. I heard Gajeel go straight for my fridge. He made himself at home a long time ago. Not that I minded, I mean I even gave him a key.

I changed into a large T-shirt and pajama bottoms then walked back to the kitchen. I was hungry so I decided to make me a sandwich before I started back on my studying.

"Lev, make me a sandwich too." Gajeel hollered from my living room.

"Didn't you just have something?" I asked spreading mayo on my bread.

"Yeah, but I want one of your sandwiches. You make the best." There was no emotion behind his words, but still made me feel warm.

"Okay."

After I finished making our food, I brought it to him to seem him flipping through the channels and his bare feet propped up on my table. I rolled my eyes with a smile and handed him his food.

He smiled gratefully and I just returned the smile.

I leaned down and stacked up my books before carrying them to the kitchen table to continue looking for a solution for my mission.

I slide on my Force Reading Glasses and open up the first book as I take a bite of my sandwich. I flip through the pages quickly, soaking up every word.

Suddenly, just as I found the answer to all my questions, I felt hands on my shoulders, giving them a soft massage.

I smiled at Gajeel. But the sparks that I had felt last week were there, maybe more prominent this time. The first time I felt them I pushed Gajeel playfully. That's when he started acting weird. Since then he's avoided physical contact with me but he's been way mor protective and possessive, but at the same time distant and heartless. It was a surprise that he kept massaging this time, disregarding the sparks and tingles.

"Have you found the solution to our problem?" He asked.

I nodded. "Yes, it was simple. Basically, he lost his daughter in the woods about 15 years ago when she was 5. The misery and such caused him to turn into a ravenous sociopath. We find his little girl, we save the village."

"That's my girl."

I blushed and stood up, stacking the books back up so they'd be ready when I went to take them back tomorrow.

As I did this, I felt arms snake around my waist and kisses get presses to my neck.

"G-Gajeel? What are you d-doing?"

He let out a frustrated noise but kept kissing me and held me tighter against him. "I can't control it anymore Lev..."

I turned around in his arms and looked at him. He looked soft and vulnerable, along with defeat and frustration.

"Control what?"

He pulled off of me and let out a growl. "I can't describe it! I suck at this whole feelings thing!"

I felt cold when his body left mine, but I didn't let that show. I needed answers.

"Try."

He looked at me. "Its like... You're the water I need and I'm stuck in the desert. But I don't want to touch you our anything bc you might be a mirage.."

I just stood there, what he said replaying in my head.

You don't mean...?"

"I can't stop myself from loving you. I tried to push you away but it was useless. Because I'm back where I started and worse this time." He looked at me, his eyes pleading.

"Gajeel... Are you saying what I think you're saying?" I asked him nervously.

"I'm not gonna control it anymore Levy." He said walking towards me, I nervously backed up but was stopped by a wall. "I won't control myself. You're mine." He gave me that arrogant smirk as he put his hands on either side of my head.

My eyes widened and my jaw dropped.

"You showed me how to love again. I love you, Levy Mcgarden." And with that, he pressed his lips against mine. Fire works went off all over me as he pulled me closer to his body.

He... Loves...me?
