Preface

Welcome to The Letters From Shaitan!, my book on Wattpad. The idea for this book came to me when I wanted to write a book in the short story genre. I knew I was going to write something to do with letters, because letters are more fascinating than it's contemporary counterparts: texting, and chatting, which just have no appeal.

The letter format allowed me to write more than the restricting texting/chatting formats allowed, and hence I could happily write more. The idea was set, then came the problem of the plot and the title. Who wrote, and to whom?

I was, and still am an ardent fan of the Storm and Silence series by Robert Their, and a popular nick name in his series- Ifrit, was just stuck in my head. And so I wanted to do something along those lines. And then I just chanced upon Shaitan. the word is pretty much common to many Indian languages, including Hindi and Tamil. And thus, TLFS was born....

This story contains mild stalker themes, character deaths, love polygons and a whole lot of cheese. Like seriously, many have started new pizzerias with unlimited cheese supply due to the huge amounts of cheese from this book. Please read at your own discretion.

Ok jokes aside, the only reason that mild stalking themes are involved in this book is because, the protagonists are imprisoned by circumstances. I mean that, it makes a good plot this way. So don't get any wrong ideas.

Please read this book with an open mind. The characters are loveable, the plot not so cliched, and you'll even get a wealth of Indian cultural knowledge...
