It had been eight days since the trek. Eight agonising and exhausting days. And Shaitan wasn't even half the reasons. Alright, he was half the reason, but the rest were the annoying tuition tests, right during summer vacations!
Meera was studying for Chemistry tuition test the next day. She was very close to abandoning her mind and running away. Why couldn't things be put in simple English? Why did the chemical bond of blah- be blah-.... Meera was about to give up and go get herself some filter coffee, when suddenly, her mother came in.
"Meera, there are three boys outside our house, and they want to talk to you.", her mother said, a worried look on her face.
Meera was surprised. She didn't ask anyone to come to her house, especially the day before chemistry test....
"Let me answer the door.", Meera said, brushing past her mother.
And there the three boys stood, Arun in the front, a confident and angry stance, Omkar behind him with a sullen expression, and Aayush stood behind them both, perfect pokerface.
"What are you doing here?", she asked, leaning against her front door.
"We need to talk to you about some stuff, plus this career counselling crap.", Arun said, as he handed her a brochure about the career counselling stuff in her school. Meera let them in.
"Take us to your room. It's not a very public thing to talk about.", Omkar suggested, when Meera gestured towards the hall.
"Amma, they have come here to talk about career counselling, and so we are going upstairs.", Meera informed her mother.
"Wow! This is wonderful! I'm so glad your school has taken so much initiative to send three senior boys to help each student. Go on! I won't stop or meddle with you.", her mother smiled.

Five minutes later, all were comfortably sitting on her bedroom(she shared it with her sister) floor, due to the lack of furniture, and for the sake of politeness, Meera sat on the floor too. The tension in the room was palpable.
"Okay, tell me why you are really here.", Meera challenged.
"How?", Omkar asked, surprised.
"Because, you wanted privacy. And you guys don't look normal at all. You look like someone died."
"No one died!", Aayush quickly reassured her, and then went back to being expressionless.
"So, what's up?", Meera asked, annoyed.
"We all like you.", Arun whispered.
"I like you all too, no biggie...", Meera asked looking at him , warily, no clue as to where this was going.
"We all love/like you.", Omkar amended.
Meera just looked at them before laughing uncontrollably.
"That's the sickest prank guys! You thought I would fall for that? Where's the hidden cameras guys?", She laughed almost hysterically now.
"It's not a joke.", Omkar told her, exhaling deeply.
"Okay stop it! This is getting out of hand!", Meera said, scared at what she was hearing.
"Look here. I really and genuinely like you because you are selfless, you don't flaunt yourself, don't have the need to show-off. I like how you take charge of situations and are pretty brave.". Arun told her, his hazel eyes speaking volumes.
"And I like you because you are not quick to judge but pretty quick to forgive. You don't keep grudges and you have the most breathtaking smile in the world!", Omkar told her, his dark eyes sincere.
