Chapter 5 - Seeing through the Blossems

(Y/N) turned head up and just caught a glimpse of Levi turning away and walking away from the area into the forest. "Is everything ok (Y/N)?" Sasha asked as she took another bite of the breadstick she was eating. "Um yeah," she said still looking was Levi was walking.

"I'm gonna have a walk and get some fresh air" she smiled as she stood up "Ok! As I was saying..." Sasha waved to her as she walked. she walked into the forest and peeked around a tree and saw Levi walking, hands in pocket and head tilted down in silence.

she followed him silently and carefully so she didn't make a sound. soon he walked into an open area where a small blossom tree sat, its leaves lay on the ground around its stump.

Levi stopped and looked up to the blossoms, he grazed his fingers down the hard wooden trunk, "I'm sorry" he mumbled in a saddened voice. his eyes were dull and drowned with sadness.

"Are you ok Levi?" she asked calmly, he turned around letting go of the tree and looked at (Y/N) started "(Y/n)! Geeze I didn't know you were there" he said looking away, "Are you ok?" she asked again.

he flinched as she said this "Yes I'm fine" she said sternly and coldly like it rolled off the tongue. he went back to having cold and emotionless eyes and face. she frowned as he looked up again "I should be getting back" he said she started to walk back until.

"I see it in your eyes," she says as she looks at the tree, he turned to her "What do you mean?" he questioned, "Your eyes are glazed over with a cold gaze, you don't let anyone in because you fear that will leave," she said calmly. he turned to her stunned.

"You act tough and you are but deep down you are scared and just want someone to understand and love you," she said looking to him. "You might deny it but under that mean glare you have beautiful eyes" she smiled at him.

he looked at her stunned, his mouth was open in shock that she figured him out, he had worked years on not letting anyone know the real him, not letting them see his vulnerability but (Y/N), this girl! figured him out in a day.

"How did you figure this out?" he questioned, she looked at him with gentle eyes "Only the lamb can understand the sorrow of the wolf," she said sweetly.

Her words are always so confusing, like a riddle wrapped in a mystery covered with an adventure with made her, no know understood her and everyone assumed her life, even Levi.

While Levi was thinking he tilted his head down in shame, he could feel a tear on the brim of his face, he never cried but this girl has uncovered a new part of Levi even he didn't know about.

He felt something come close to him and put their arms around him, he looked up and saw red hair. he blushed as he realised that (Y/N) was hugging him, his tears disappeared and he hesitantly slid his hands around her waist to deepen in the hug.

when they parted the two had a small blush on your cheeks. Levi looked away from her only seeing the fringe of her red hair. "Let's get back" (Y/N) finally spoke, "they might be wondering where we are" she smiled as she passed him.

He nodded and followed behind her. soon they got back, everyone was hanging out because until Levi came and he instructed everyone to do some hand to hand combat.

(Y/N) sat on the side with a put on her cheeks and a stick in her hands as she drew in the dirt. "Hey (Y/N)!" called Sasha, her and Conny were standing a few meters away from her and she was calling her over. (Y/N)'s eyes sparkled and raced over to her.

A few moments later Levi was checking on how everyone was going until he saw Sasha, Connie and (Y/N). "They're doing it again" Mikasa sighed. Sasha was in a weird dead bug pose, Connie was like a crane with his hands like a cat and (Y/N) squatting with her arms out and all making a weird face.

"What are you doing?" Levi scowled, the friends turned and gasped "Retreat!" (Y/N) cried as they all dived down and rolled away, Levi growled and chased after them, all of then rolling away from Levi and Levi running after them.

~Later~

Sasha, Conny and (Y/N) all sat on the side with a bump on their heads and a bandage also on their heads. "Hey (Y/N)!" Eren called, she looked up with a dazzle in her eyes "Wanna spar with me?" she smiled as he held his hand out to her. she smiled and took his hand.

they stood across from each other, some people stopped to watch and see how good (Y/N) was at hand to hand combat. Eren has the knife and ran at her.

she stayed still with her head down and smirk on her lips. he went to strike her in the neck when she grabbed his hand and twisted it up, she kicked the back of his legs making his legs weak and kicked him off his feet sending him to the ground. she pushed him down and held the knife in her hands as she held it against his neck. the wooden blade pressing against his adam's apple.

she smiled and tossed the knife back to him, he caught it still looking at her with shock. "Ok, everyone! Dinner!" Someone called from the eating building. she smiled towards the building before looking back to Eren.

He sat up and looked up at (Y/N) who was crouching down slightly and holding out her hand, "Common Its dinner" she smiled. her hand was dusted with some dirt but he was covered in it. he took her hand and she pulled him up.

They walked together talking and laughing, she looked at his hair and saw some dirt in it. "Stay still," she said, he turned to her "Huh--?" he paused as she came closer and was inches away from his face.

she wasn't looking at his eyes or face but if she was she would see the pink blush dusted across his face. she dusted off the dirt from his bangs and moved back "Sorry that dirt was bothering me" she giggled before walking away.

he watched as her red hair swayed back and forth with the wind. he felt a sting in his chest, 'What is she doing to me?' he thought as she jogged up to her.
