{Chapter 1}

-Ryan's p.o.v-

Beep! Beep! Beep!

I turned off my alarm clock with my powers. It has been a week since I learned that I'm a technopath, a week since I learned I am bonded to a robot called Mech-X5. It was made for me to protect Bay City. I had a team of four, my two best friends and my brother. But I feel like I'm missing a member of my team, don't know who but I'm going to find out.
I got ready for school and went to the kitchen for breakfast. Mark was already there.

"Hey little bro,"

"Hey,"

"You okay?"

"Yeah, it's just that...Harris found out that there are four members of our team. But I can't just help that I think that there is one more member of our team,"

"Any idea of who that is?" Mark said

"No,"

"I bet we'll find out soon, lets go to school,"

Something or someone was different today. It was Mia, she was wearing a crop top and makeup. Sure she wears lipstick but not full on makeup and she never wears a crop top.
Not that I'm complaining.
She was beautiful like even more before but I hope she didn't change her personality. It's her personality that makes her beautiful, inside now outside. I walked to my locker hoping she noticed me.
She didn't. Or I assumed she didn't, her beautiful brunette hair was blocking her face. I was going to talk to her today...or try too. It's hard to talk to a girl you like, I get so nervous and when I do I say, 'I love you, bye!'
I was about to tap her but then the bell rang, I sighed. I grabbed my English book and went to the class.

"Okay class take out your reading log," Mrs. Collins said

Mia already had hers out!

"Before we began can I talk to Mia and Ryan please?"

I looked at her, I was confused. So was Mia. I walked up to Mrs. Collins with Mia in front of me.

"Ryan we both know that you are failing in this class and if you don't bring it up to an A or B, you will not be able to participate in any sports or other activities,"

I put my head down in shame.
Not in front of Mia, please.

"I don't know what to do," I said

"I have an idea. Mia will tutor you," Mrs. Collins suggested

"Huh?" Mia said

MIA IS GOING TO TUTOR ME?! BEST DAY EVER!

"Mia you're the best in my first period class. With you tutoring him he will get an A or a B in this class," Mrs. Collins said

"Speaking of tutoring..." a voice said

It was Mr. Millsap, mine and Mia's math teacher.

"Ryan, I need you to tutor Mia for math. She has a C minus in my class and the same thing happens to you if you don't get it up to a better grade. You won't be able to do soccer or water polo,"
