Elements

He had a voice I can no long hear.

I hear the wind. I hear the grass. I lift my head and open my eyes. I fall to the ground crying. I can't believe i died. The worst part, the last thing i saw was my father crying watching me die. "Hey! You ok?" A man what looks to be about my age walks over. He sits down next to me. "Were you banned from your gaustra too?" I tilt my head and i wipe my tears. "My what?" He giggles. "Your new huh?" He smiles. "So how'd you get here? Sleep, just thought about it, or what?" I look down. "I died." He stops smiling. "There's only four ways to enter this world and dying is not one of them." I look at him again. "Where am i?" He smiles again. "This is the world of elements."

"I will tell you everything you need to know but it may take awhile." He says. "Please, i wanna know where i am." I reply. "Ok, hmm... well, there's four ways to enter this world. Sleep, born into it, entering when ever, or meditation. Everyone has an element they can control. There's the fire people, enter when ever, the earth people, sleep, air people, meditation, and water people, born into this world. Me? I'm water. Now a gausta. Think of it as a wolf pack, theres a leader, warriors, hunters, healers, scouts and the lowest rank, the shomiera.(sh-om-ee-rah)But, how'd you enter by death?"

I look up at the sky. "I don't know." He stands up and holds his hand out to help me up. "I'm Jake." I grab his hand and he pulls me up. "Jenna" I reply. "Well then Jenna, lets find out what element you hold." He lets go of my hand and starts walking towards the forest. "Touch the ground with your palm." I look at him for a second and i sit down laying my palm on the ground "Imagine a plant" I picture a small dandelion. I feel something warm and soft under my hand. I lift my hand to see a tiny flower looking weed.

"Easy, your earth." I stand up. "Alright well, I'm tryin to find shelter for the night so, see ya round Jenna. Just be careful." He turns around and starts walking. I jog over to catch up to him. "I think imma stay with you for a little bit." I smile. He looks at me. "Ok but eventually your gonna want a gaustra." I look down walking with him. "Ok."

After awhile he finds a small cave to sleep in. He teaches me a little bit how to controll my element. "You are only one element. How do you know how to teach other elements?" I ask. "Welp, i cant leave this world. Im born into it. The gaustra i was in had others with different elements." He answers. I look around at my surroundings. Its full of trees. No sounds of cars or trains.

I hear wind, the small stream next to the small cave. I smell the fresh plants, so much more fresher than the real world. My eyes start to tear up. Jake walks up to me. He sits down and looks around too. "Pretty huh?" He smiles. "Mhmm" I continue staring at everything. His smile fades. "Ya, every new person tends to cry like you. My guastra trys to explain to ke what your world looks like but. I just can't imagine it.i wish i could go there to see it myself." He sighs.

He stands himself up and walks over to the stream. He sticks both hands in then slowly lifts his hands. Water in the form of a circle rises as he lifts his hands. He held it like it was weird jell-o. My heart beats fast, i have to get used to this. He walks back to me and slowly sticks the water in a hole. I walk 9ver to the hole with water in it and i stick my finger in it. Its like regular water.

Jake walks inside the small cave and curls up into a ball. He closes his eyes. "Night." He says. "What? But its still day." He looks at me with a weird look on his face. "What? But its dark, moons up and everything." I close my eyes and shake my head, "No no no no." I open my eyes and point to the sun. "Suns ou-" SMACK! I sat my hand on my cheek. "Hey!" My eyes widen. Im on my bed. "Wha..." Maybe i was just dreaming?

I walk over to my mirror. Its the same? I look at my clock. 11:00. I am not going to school. I walk downstairs. I walk into the kitchen. Mom kisses dad on the cheek. "Bye, have a good day at work." She tells him. She looks at me. "Why aren't you going to school sweety, you're gonna be late." I look down. "No scool today." I lie. "Mk." She stops cooking. She lifts up the pan and throws it on the ground. "Mom?.." Fear comes to me. "You will never stop." She says as she stares blankly at the pan.

"Mom, what are you talking about?.." She grabs a knife. "LET ME GO!" She screams. She turns to me. The knife in her hand dissapears. "Never." She says and put ine hand on her eyes. I look down. The knife is in my stomach. My eyes widen. Blood poors, dripping on the ground. Is this really happening...? I look at my hands. They are cut. I put my hands on my head and grab my hair. I scream. My mom grabs my shoulders. "What, what!?" I stop screaming. I look at my hands. Nothing. No knife, no blood.

Someone barges in the house. They point a gun at us. My mom drops to the ground screaming. I grab the knife. I get ready to throw at him until i use it to slit my throat.
