CHAPTER 3: The Night.
In the city of Cielo, the sunsets and the night has taken over the huge city, as the urban part of Cielo, is ever so rowdy. The three, Hirona, Hiroki and a new member of their "reaper" job, Chorus.
The three silently walk through the cold streets, passing by people, the three enter a coffee shop, where a man, with dirty brown hair, wearing an apron the man had his eyes closed. The owner was humming a song to himself while standing behind a counter getting ready a batch of sandwiches.
"Ah Jackson, I see you got the sandwiches ready"" Hirona spoke as she grabs attention to the owner,
"yes, after all you two are one my favorite customers, hmm i see you brought somebody with you" the owner referred as Jackson spoke as he smiles to the twins and Chorus.
"Oh Yea, This is our new member, Chorus" Hiroki spoke, as he sat down on one of the tables.
"Oooh, means his dead?" Jackson ask as he set a plate with sandwiches on the table.
"The answers yes, this new member of us, had committed suicide, stupid idea, if i may say so" Law answers as he enters the store.
"Nice to see you again Lauren" Jackson spoke, as he pats Law head,
"The name is LAW!" Law shouted as a vein popped out of his head,
"You haven't changed one bit, brother" Jackson chuckles,
"I see you're still the ignorant, clueless idiot that you still are" Law spoke as he cracks his knuckles.
"That's just to mean, little brother" Jackson spoke as he emphasize "little brother",
As the two brothers start to bicker with one another, The twins and Chorus, were sitting on the side, eating the sandwiches that Jackson had made.
"Those two...they're something huh?" Hiroki sighs, worrying if the two brothers will ever stop.
"They kind of remind me of my Sister and my brother, the two of them would always fight each other" Chorus spoke with a smile on his face, as he stuff another sandwich into his mouth, his dad would have loved this sandwiches.
Hirona who has been unusually quiet looks out of the window, the Night was beautiful, it was cold outside, but luckily the warmth of the coffee shop felt just right. Hirona smiles, a genuine smile not her usual smirk that she always has..
"Anyways, what are you doing here Lauren?, you don't always just drop by to visit your older brother" Jackson spoke with a smug tone,
"It's LAW, but...you're right, Chorus, since you're new to this plane of existence, i will explain the basics" Law spoke as he turns to Chorus,
"Oh, uhhh..." Chorus starts to fidget around,
"The Reason for my brother, Jackson and I being able to see you, is because we are blood Reapers, there are two more blood reapers, which you will meet in the future, You're here because you've been chosen like the twins, to be part time reapers, when people die their soul will immediately be judged to go heaven or purgatory, but there are many part of cities, towns, villages who are plagued with monsters roaming in the spirit world, who feast on souls of innocent, souls who are suppose to go purgatory, if monsters were feast on them, those souls would be corrupted and there'll be no way to undo it" Law explains,
"So God, exists?" Chorus ask,
"Ha! oh my that's just hilarious, listen kind, only angels and dark angels are the workers, God left this universe a long time ago, so now we have to keep his work going" Law spoke.
"Oh.." Chorus mumbles,
" Cheer up, at least now you have a duty, to protect the souls" Jackson spoke,
"but how can i protect them, i'm weak..." Chorus ask,
"You're part of the distraction team, you will distract the monster with your singing, while Hiroki rescues the souls and Hirona fights off the monsters" Law explains,
"B-but.." Chorus mumbles, he was afraid the monsters will eat him up, he was scared..
"Hey, count on me, i'll be the one protecting you from the monsters, all you need to do is to get their attention while i destroy them" Hirona spoke as she puts her hand on Chorus shoulder, it was comforting, as if it was like his mother saying "it's all okay, i'm here".
Chorus took a deep breath,
"I'll do my best!" Chorus spoke with confidence in his voice, the twins smile and law looked away, Jackson smiles too as he open up his eyes, to see the same red colored gem as Law, truly they looked like brothers.
