Niall was petrified to say at the least.

He knew speaking up was wrong, but he couldn't help but defend the raven haired boy. Liam should've been nicer to him and the customer, but he would never tell. He was scared of what Liam might do when he comes back.

Liam and Niall split up shortly after the encounter at the store's porch. Liam ordered Niall to his house as punishment while he went off to his own house.

Niall made his way into the house with his head hung low, he felt bad for the customers. The more he thought about it, the worse he felt. He had a slight problem with overthinking.

"Niall, whats wrong?" His father asked, looking up from the newspaper.

A small  mug was beside him on the table as well as a half eaten piece of bread.

"Im upset." Niall sighed, barely making eye contact with his father before preparing himself a glass of water.

"Why? Did something happen?" His father asks, setting aside the newspaper to give his son his full attention.

"Im upset with Liam and myself. Liam was just acting rude to some customers and i tried to tell him to knock it off but he got mad at me. I was just trying to help." Niall explained, sipping some water to refresh his parched throat.

"What made Liam angry?" His father pondered, tapping his fingers against the wooden table.

"I think it was earlier today. Liam came by Harry's after we got the bread and asked me to go out with him. I tried to say i wanted to stay with Harry but he," Niall paused, looked around the room for more words and caressed his arm, "he was just too handsome i couldn't resist."

"How did that make him angry?" His father questioned, enjoying the fact that his son likes his future husband.

"At first i wasn't on board with leaving, so we had a small argument. Eventually i gave in and left with him, he wanted to take me to get some clothes for the party." Niall smiled, remembering how nice Liam was before the incident.

"Thats nice of him. How bad was the argument?"

"It was about the same as the one with the customers. I think he let his anger out on the poor boys, and me. I tried to tell him to stop him." Niall shrugged, feeling the sorrow droop its way onto his shoulders again.

"You know you're not supposed to cross him, especially when he's angry. Good brides submit to their husbands, remember? Liam's the one making the money so i wouldn't advise you picking fights with him." Bobby explained, taking a gulp from his mug.

His father was right. How dare he go against Liam, shame on him. He should've known better, after all he's just a bride. He didn't run the business, he didn't know what to do.

But he couldn't help but feel a small seed of rebellion plant itself in him. He was a human being, not property.

"Here, i got you this. I hope it can show you how sorry i am." Liam said and handed over a small piece of food wrapped in a thick paper.

Niall smiled slightly and thanked him, then opened the top of the paper.

A piece of bread was nestled in the rest of the paper with carmelized butter and sugar on the top.

Niall tore off a piece of the bread and handed it to Liam to which he thanked and ate the piece. It was sweet and delicious, he loved desserts.

"I don't like fighting." Niall admitted, waiting to speak until the bread was settled in his stomach.

"Neither do i," Liam agreed, "You can work on being queit, yea?"

'Only if you work on controlling your anger' Niall wants to bite back.

He remembers the words his dad told him and nods his head,  be submissive.

"Good boy," Liam praises and presses a kiss to Nialls head, "How're you doing? Did i miss anything while i was gone?"

"Not much, i talked with my dad and took a nap. What about you?" Niall asked, grabbing some milk from the kitchen.

"Worked some more with the new customers. I get a bad feeling about them, theyre dirty and ill-mannered. You saw the grime they left on the windows right? God, and their smell." Liam cringed, his nose crinkling just at the thought.

"Yea, it was pretty bad."Niall agreed, not wanting to start another fight. He wasnt one to judge based on looks like Liam was.

Niall let out a small yawn, making his eyes water slightly.

"You're tired?" Liam asked, getting up to guide Niall to his bed.

"No, its more of a bored yawn." Niall explained. He already took a nap so he wouldnt be tired, he just ahsnt done anything all day.

"I'll take you out." Liam smiles, taking Nialls hand in his and leading him out the door.

"Where are we going?" Niall asks, holding Liams hand tightly.

"The bar." Liam smiles, happy that he'll get to spend time with Niall.

What he doesn't know, is that he wont be the only one spending time with him.
