Edmund quickly got better and within the next day they were off again, back to Cair Paravel. Peter insisted that Lucy take care of Marci, because Edmund was still a bit weak.

When they got back to Cair Paravel Susan joyfully took Marci from Lucy and kissed the baby's cheek. Edmund smiled slightly and slid off of his horse.

"Home." He breathed happily. Lucy giggled and sighed. Although it had been less than a month since he had last seen it, it seemed like years.

"It really is grand. Are you okay?" She looked at Edmund. He nodded numbly, tears filling his eyes.

"Yes. I'm alright. Just overwhelmed." He replied. She opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted by Marci's babbling. Edmund laughed and wiped his eyes.

"Marci-May." Peter called, Marci giggled and reached for him.

Edmund was soon bustled inside and everyone was given food.

Later that night, after being fed and bathed and in brand new clothes, Edmund sat on the edge of the couch. Watching Lucy and Peter playing chess.

He smiled when Lucy won.

Lucy laughed as Peter tried to come up with excuses.

"Okay. Bedtime." Susan said, standing up. All her siblings agreed.

The next morning Edmund woke up before the sun arose. He was warm and wide awake Edmund looked out at the sea, smiling as the waves crashed against the rocks.

"Go to bed."

Edmund jumped slightly as Peter spoke. He glared at the lump in the bed that was his older brother.

"Shut up." He growled. Peter huffed and pulled the pillow one his head. Edmund had a nightmare last night and had come to Peter.

"Go back to sleep. It's too early." Peter muttered, muffled by the pillow.

Edmund smirked and rolled back into bed.

"Oookay." He said, laying back down, taking up most of the bed.

"Edmund!"

"You said to-"

"Get out of my room." Peter said, pushing Edmund out of bed. Edmund fell on the floor.

"Fine. Have a good day, sir." Edmund said, smiling as he stood up and opened the door, letting the cool morning air in. He left quickly, letting the High King get his sleep.
