Neala
The second they reached the van, they were thrown inside and the guards followed them in. Neala immediately realized that they weren't alone in the van. There was another person, who was blindfolded and had their hands cable tied behind their back, which was roughly about the same moment she realized the same thing was about to happen to her. She turned around and spotted a guard who was currently tightening the cable around Kane's wrists, and the other one who threw Maebh, whose hands were already tied behind her, roughly to the side, causing her to cushion most of her landing with the left side of her cheek. Neala watched as she rolled over and scrambled to her feet, open wound on her cheek already seeping blood.
Neala spun on the guard and stalked towards her. "Don't you fucking da-", she snarled, being cut off by a guard who grabbed her wrist and twisted it painfully.
"What was that, Redzer? Because the last time I checked, you were definitely the one at a disadvantage here", he threatened, maintaining his hold on her and reaching behind his back for something. Neala realized what it was when she felt the cool barrel of a gun against her temple. Her heart seemed to stop, and then she felt a boom similar to the bombs of the night before, except this time it was concentrated in the confines of her rib cage. Every second seemed to drag out for minutes. Every breath the guard breathed down her neck made every inch of her skin felt hot and uncomfortable except for the part of her head that the gun rested on, which was ice cold. The guards claw like grip seared into her skin uncomfortably, and her mind desperately raced desperately away from what was Neala was sure to be her death. She was even more sure of this when she heard the gun click. Her fingers twitched as she prepared herself to try and run, fight her way out of this, as Maebh caught her eye and shook her head slightly, begging her not to move. However, Maebh's eyes widened and Neala realized why when she seen the guards finger move towards the trigger in her peripheral.
"NO! Please, don't!" Maebh screamed desperately, tears streaming from her wild eyes which searched each of the guards faces for signs of mercy. The guard sneered, lowering his gun and grabbing a handful of Neala's hair, yanking her to the floor, causing her head to bounce off it painfully. Neala's vision was bleary but quickly cleared up after the initial shock of the impact. She tried to sit up but the intense throbbing made her immediately regret it. She watched in fear as the guard turned his attention from her to Maebh.
Maebh
"Next time you get an attitude, I won't hesitate to pull the trigger. And you? You need to learn not to speak up". With that, he sauntered over to Maebh, pulled her to her feet, only to smash her in the face with his fist, causing her to immediately hit the floor. Once she was there, he drew his foot back and connected with her stomach. Maebh howled as she felt all of the air leave her body in a whoosh, and once that sensation subsided she felt a tidal wave of pain and nausea sweep over her entire midsection. She didn't even try to move, crippled by the intense agony she felt. She watched as the guards exited the back of the van, cackling amongst themselves. Once the last of them had gotten out and closed the doors, a very unsteady Neala got to her knees and made her way over to sit down by Maebh's head between her and a still very unconscious Kane. Maebh lifted her head to lie on Neala's thigh. She only then remembered that they weren't alone in the van, and was about to open her mouth to speak when she realized that the van still wasn't moving. The doors opened again.
"Almost forgot these", said one of the guards as she climbed on, two rags in hand. She blindfolded the two girls and hopped out of the back of the van as Maebh felt it rev to life beneath her.
"Where do you think we're going?" Maebh asked a few minutes later, when she found it in her to speak.
"I'm pretty sure that if they were going to kill us they definitely would have done it by now, so honestly I'm not sure. I'm just going to try and time it and see how long we're in the van, judge how far out of the city we've gone", Neala explained. "I just really hope the same thing hasn't happened to Radha and Donncha".
