Search for the Grangers

Draco's POV

It's July 30 and it's the Potter's wedding tomorrow. Hermione was spending the night at the Burrow as she is a bridesmaid. While Harry and his groomsmen were spending the night in Grimmauld place. So I have decided today to sent my plan for Hermione's surprise into action. "They're ready for you now Mr Malfoy" Anne the ministers assistant informs me.

"Thank you" I tell her as I approach the door and knock. 'Come in' a voice answers and I enter the room closing the door behind me. "Thank you for both seeing me on such short notice" I tell the minister and head of the Auror office.

"Why have you called this meeting Draco?" Kingsley asks.

"As you may already know I'm getting married to Hermione at the end of August and I want to do something special for her" I tell them. I then take out the photo of Hermione's parents I had borrowed. "These are Hermione's parents they are somewhere in Australia living false lives. I need help finding them and restoring their memories in time for our wedding" I explain.

"It won't be easy to find them" Gawain tells me.

"But we'll let you know when we find their location" Kingsley adds. "It'll take us a few days though" he tells me.

"I understand, but please keep this a secret" I tell them. "I want it to be a surprise for Hermione" I state. "She'll love it" I say smiling.

"I'm sure she will have a good day Draco" Kingsley states. I shake both the mens hands before leaving the office. Once I got back to the auditorium I apperated to Grimmauld Place. Can you believe Harry asked me to be one of his groomsmen? The others were Neville, Seamus and Ron was suppose to be the best man. But he has been sentenced to three months in Azkaban. So now Neville is best man and I was made a groomsmen as he was now one short.

(Kingsley's office after Draco left) No one's POV

"Do you still have your contact with that police officer in Queensland?" Kingsley asks Gawain.

"Yes, I do I'll call him tonight" Gawain states.

"Good, now Hermione told me she had her parents named Monica and Wendell Wilkins. So look for people under those names and this description" Kingsley explains. "Now I have been keeping tabs on them since Hermione sent them to Australia two years ago" he states. "I last heard they were touring the Australian coast line, start your search there" he tells Gawain.

"Will do Minister, so we just let Mister Malfoy know when we have located Miss Granger's parents?" he asks.

"Yes, that's it and we leave the rest to him" Kingsley clarifies. "Alert me the minute you find anything" he states and Gawain nods his head. Gawain leaves to go start the search for Mister and Mrs Granger with a copy of the picture the Malfoy boy had brought.

(Grimmauld Place) Draco's POV

"How did it go?" Harry asks as I sat down in the kitchen.

"Don't know want you are talking about Potter" I state.

"I know you went to the ministry" Harry states.

"Fine you caught me, I'm trying to find Hermione's parents for a wedding gift" I tell him in a low voice. "Once they have been located, I'll undo Hermione's memory charm and then have them come on the wedding day. That why her mum can help her get ready the muggle way and then her father can walk her down the aisle. Like she always wanted" I explain smiling at the end.

"That's a lovely idea, I know she'll love it" Harry states smiling as well. "Anything I can do to help?" he asks.

"Now you mention it, there is one thing you could do" I say holding up one finger. "I need a place to hide her parents once I've restored their memories. Any ideas?" I ask him.

"You could just send them at their old place, Hermione hasn't sold it and she hasn't gone back since she altered their memories" Harry suggests.

"Good idea Potter, but she may go back there before the wedding missing her parents" I tell him.

"Just place a charm on the house so she can't find it" Harry states.

"That'd be cruel, she'd be really sad if she couldn't find it" I state.

"You're right, why not at my old house" Harry suggests. "The Dursleys wouldn't mind, well my Aunt wouldn't mind" he states. "Dudley moved out and in with his girlfriend, so they have two spare rooms now" he explains.

"That'd be perfect, do you think you could ask you Aunt?" I ask.

"I'll go over tomorrow as I'm free then" he assures me. "So have you applied to be an auror yet?" Harry asks.

"Actually I'm thinking of taking the Potion Master position at Hogwarts, Slughorn going to retire after this school year and I'm pretty good at potions. I also want to study Alchemy" I explain.

"I'm sure Hermione will support any decision you make" Harry states. I nod my head and we drink our tea in silence. The rest of the Grooms party arrived and we all had some fire whisky. Lucky for them Kreacher had made hangover potions for tomorrow encase any of them drank to much. Which Seamus did and passed out on the couch in the living room.
