Y/N POV

After that little encounter with Camila I decided to get out of the pool and dry off. I swam over to the edge of the pool to pull my self up onto the edge and climb out of the water. Sanding up and walking over to to the patio table I grabbed one of the towels, to Walk back toward the girls and spread the towel across the sun chair next to Dinah. Which drew her attention.

"I see you finally decided to join the cool kids." She said smiling while raising her shades, as she squints her eyes to look at me.

"Ha, you wish you were a cool kid." I said back jokingly, while laying my back down on to the warm towel and turn my head to face her. "I mean if you were a cool kid you would of been in the water with us." I gestured between me and Camila, who wasn't even paying attention, she was in her own little world. Staring off in to space or something.

"If that's what you have to tell yourself." She laughed back while lowering her shades back to their rightful place, covering her eyes.

I turned my head in the opposite direction, now looking at the pool. I see Camila has now claimed my previous spot atop the water lounger. She is on on her back with her hands placed behind her head and her feet crossed out in front of her. She has her eyes closed with a huge smile on her face. I watched as she lays there carelessly floating around in the pool. After a few seconds I look upward toward the sky and close my eye. My mind wanders back to that voicemail Dani left me. 'Why now after weeks of not talking does she want to see me?' That question just lingered in my mind and kept repeating itself to me. 'Why?'

Slowly sitting up I pushed myself up off the chair to go back and get my phone. 'If I want to get answers I guess I have to talk to her.' I shake my head as I remember my thoughts from my shower earlier. Who was I fooling when I said I would give it a couple days before calling her back, because it wasn't me.

"Where are you are you going?" I heard Lauren rasp out curiously.

Stopping mid-stride, I turned to face her and the other girls who where looking with anticipation written on their faces, as they await my answer. "I left my phone upstairs, I was just heading up to go get it." I responded nonchalantly.

"Okay." She responded. Readjusting back into her previous position.

Turning back on my heels to continue the trip up to my room, that still feels wired saying by the way, thinking of all the reasons for the lack of communication between the two of us over the past few weeks.

Upon entering the room I head straight for the night stand where I left my phone. I pick it up slowly, decided whether I should call her back or just text her. I went with the later of the two. I unlocked my phone and open up the 'Recents' call log in my
Phone app. I hit the info button next to the number I had a missed call from. Knowing it was hers, I selected to message option.
My fingers hovered over the keypad as I thought of what to type. I decided to just keep it simple.

Y/N: Hey..

After tapping the send button I saved her name to that number. It didn't taker her long to respond.

Dani: I was starting to worry when I didn't hear from you sooner.

Y/N: 😑 Sure. Where was that worry a few weeks ago? 👀
