Y/N POV:
Being back on my bike made me so happy. I am currently sitting at the stop light right outside of Dylan's neighborhood. The traffic signal changes to give me a green arrow so I can make a left turn. I rev up and take off heading toward the beach front coffee shop. I love the feeling of the air passing by me as I weave in and out of the light traffic that occupies the road. The total time it takes me to get to the cafe is about 17 minutes. Not bad, I'm surprisingly right on time, it is now 1:53.
I find a spot right in front of the shop, I pull in and shut off the engine. I pull the key out of the ignition and place it in my pocket. Pushing the kickstand down with my foot and hop off my bike. Once I'm standing firmly on both feet, I remove my helmet and fix my hair by running my hands through it a couple times. Stepping up on to the curb to make my way to the front door.
Upon approaching the front of the shop I can see Danielle through the window sitting at the same little corner booth we always seem to occupy. I notice she has two cups of coffee in front of her. She is also mindlessly playing with her fingers. she usually does that when she is thinking to hard about something. I smile to myself, she looks so beautiful. She's wearing on of her school soccer shirts, jean shorts, and the low cut black converse. She is also wearing he glasses today.
Slowly pulling the door open and walking inside. I walk directly to the table she is at and slide in the booth in front of her. She looks up at me "Hi." I say in a soft tone almost whisper.
She smiles at me and say, "hi, it's so good to finally see you again. I missed you so much." Her words soft and loving.
Man, have I missed that voice. I reach up on the table and take her hands in mine, her skin is so soft. I rub my thumbs on the back of her hands. I smile and looked at her, our eyes locking. "I missed you too." Her smile grows almost double upon hearing that. I look over to the coffee on the table.
"I got you your usual." She says as she pushes the white mug in my direction.
Taking the cup in hand with a huge smile on my face I brig the cup up to my nose. "Thanks. It smell great, as always." I say then putting the cup to my lips to have a sip. I hum in satisfaction as the hot liquid flows down smoothly and coats my throat in warmth as I swallow. "Perfection." I breathe out and look back up at her with a smile. I return the cup to its place back on the table after taking another sip to let my hands rejoin hers.
"How has everything been? I feel like I have missed so much." She asks with her eyes fixed one me.
My smile faltering a bit, and I look down at our hands. "I need to tell you something. It might hurt, but I need to be honest." A tear escaping from my right eye.
She pulls one of her hands out of mine and reaches up to wipe the tear. "You can tell me anything. Baby, what's wrong?" She says concern and love laced in her words. She takes that same hand and places it under my chin, lifting my head up so she can look me in the eyes once again. "Baby, what is it? Talk to me, we will get through this together." She says and her thumb now caresses my cheek.
I close my eyes and lean into her touch. I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out. I feel her hand leave my face and I miss the contact instantly. It is immediately replaced with warmth on my side and I feel her snake her arms around my waist and pull me deeper into her body.
She starts to rub my back, "It's okay babe, take your time. I am here." She whispers into my ear, then places a gentle kiss on my temple.
She then laid her head on mine and just held me, bringing back many memories of late nights. Her holding me after arguments I would have with my dad, more so the one after my mom passed. I felt fresh hot tears fall leaving tracks on my cheeks as they made their way to the bottom of my chin. We stayed like that for quite some time.
