Three months later
"Amanda I don't see the problem. It was a fling." I tell her for the third time this morning as I walk into math. "A fling with a older man who had a girlfriend!" she says sighing. "I wish I had a summer like that."
I shake my head at her and take a seat in the middle of the room. Amanda sits beside me rambling on about her dream man. I take that as my cue to zone out so I take out my phone to text Ben my current boyfriend. "he texted me a heart saying he misses me!" I say to Amanda. I inwardly "awww" him. Someone clears their throat and I look up.
" Excuse me miss...." he looks down at his list and back up, " ...McAdams. I do not tolerate use of cellphones in my class I am going to have to ask you to hand that over..!" my head screams Aidan but it can't be him because he is with Natalia in California, and this is New York. "I'm going to have to ask you to stay after class." he states sternly at me.
Forget him. he runs away promising to call but never does. He isn't my problem anymore. All I have to do is get my stupid phone back and then I can switch out of of calculus. Didn't need that class anyway. He talks the whole rest of class about the requirements he has and the home work we are required to do. Finally the bell rings and everyone scrambles out, but me.
I slowly walk up to his desk wondering what he will say. " I'm sure whatever your boyfriend had to say could've waited till after class Miss McAdams." he states bitterly not even looking at me. "Well you see sir it could have waited, but seeing as you weren't present on time anyways I took the liberty." I say almost seething at the dignity that man had to talk to me like that.
Finally looking up at me he states, "I do not take liberties that are not mine to take, you should do as I do." I stare him down daring him to say anything annoying again. " I have certain liberties, as do you. but apparently during the Summer you can take more liberties than you have but throw it down the trash and yell at me the next time you see me. Me? I should be screaming at you!" I say anger evident in my voice. "I do not recall what you are talking about. I highly suggest you take your phone get out of my room and do not use your phone to text your boyfriend in my class again. Are we clear?" He tells me calmly. I'm shocked, so shocked. He basically just told me he just wants to forget about our summer. "Crystal clear." I manage to mutter back before storming out the door.
Guess that was my call I never got...
