Nari stared at her surroundings the world looked bleak and broken, the only thing that stood out was Nari's own white fur against the dark greys and blacks of the place she called home. She heard a banging noise and one of her cat-like ears perked towards the direction it came from, it was time to leave. Nari scurried on her four legs to get out before that noise could come any closer. Once she decided she was far enough away she stopped to collect herself and try to breath normally, well normally enough considering the air was almost unbreathable with all of the chemicals swirling in it.
Nari looked around seeing where she was, there were cars on either side of them and the ground was hard, some parts poking into her paws. Nari looked at her reflection in a car wheel that hadn't completely rusted over and stood on her hind legs placing a paw to the reflection. She saw her own small narrow frame and her round face, her small snout like that of a cat with two fangs poking out and purple eyes glimmering in the darkness. Sadness consumed Nari and if she could cry she would've. She shook off the feeling as best as she could and continued on her way hoping to find somewhere warm to curl up before morning came.
After what must have been hours of walking across the jagged ground cutting and blistering the pads on her paws, she saw the first rays of sunlight appear. She hissed reflexively and decided that she would spend the day in one of the cars. Nari crawled up the tire and dug her small claws into the cars door eventually getting to the slightly opened window and with her lithe body slipped through the gap. She made her way under the front car seat to protect herself from the sun and curled up already feeling tiredness overcome her. Before she slipped into her slumber she gently licked the wounds covering her paws. Once Nari was done she let herself sleep as the world was engulfed by the heat of the burning sun.
