Flute

Third person pov

After Mr ping gets back to work Po's forced smile fades as he looks at where the furious five are getting taught

An old red panda plays his flute with his eyes closed underneath a tree, seemingly peaceful and unaware that five animals are preparing an attack. A slight rustle sounds in a bush nearby, but the red panda keeps playing the flute, not noticing or caring. A snake wrapped around a pillar suddenly strikes at an extreme speed hoping to land a hit on the old red panda and its monkey, mantis, and tiger comrades join in by jumping over the side of the wall, following behind them is a crane, he spins trying to pick up speed towards the red panda. The old red panda continues to sit and play the flute while a monkey, tiger, viper, crane and mantis come at him in different ways, until finally his eyes snap open and his pupils dilate.

He hits the viper in the head with his flute and grabs its tail throwing it jumping in the air while kicking off the tiger in the face to twirl sideways over the crane and hits the crane in the face with his flute, dodging the monkeys kick. The monkey and crane team up while the red panda hits both of them to the side with his flute. Sneaking up on him the tiger throws a punch only to be blocked with the flute, she claws and kicks but is continually blocked. Until he grabs her arm and flips her onto the ground and throws the mantises pitiful attack over his shoulder. And stops in his attack stance. Then looks around at the five

"Well done students..." everybody looks happy. All of them put their fist in an open paw/wing/tail and bow with their heads down "if you were trying to disappoint me." Their heads snap up and they look at him in confusion. He points his flute at the panting tiger "Tigress you need more ferocity!" He said and her face becomes more disappointed and she bows to him again agreeing with what he said. He then pointed to the monkey "Monkey, you need greater speed" monkey closes his eyes and bows "Crane height" he said pointing to the crane who's head is hanging. He points to the snake who's tail is in an awkward position representing a bow "Viper subtlety, Mantis..." he points to the bug and gets interrupted

"Master Shifu!" A goose said

"What!" The red panda asked now pointing the flute towards it

"Ahh" he said putting his hands up in surrender "it's Master Oogway. He wants to see you" the goose said Shifu's eyes widen. He drops everything and runs as fast as he can to Master Oogway. Right before he gets to the doors goose open it and close it after he enters. Panting he calms himself down and bows

"Master Oogway, you summoned me? Is something wrong?" Shifu asks as he looks up to see the shell of a tortoise perfectly balanced on a staff. The tortoise slowly gets out from the shell and the balanced position and smiles warmly

"Why must something be wrong for me to want to see my old friend?" Oogway asks climbing down the staff slowly setting his feet on the ground softly

"So, nothing's wrong?" Shifu asks confused, but overall relieved

"Well..." he says slowly "I didn't say that" he says in a non-caring way, Shifu stares at the tortoise with the same expression. Oogway walks towards the hundred candles that are on the side of the building and blows a singular candle out while Shifu continues waiting for if there was something important. Once again Oogway blows out a candle... and another, and another... and another. He looks up at Shifu and raises his hand slightly looking like he was going to talk when.... he turns around and blows out another candle. Shifu's eye twitches in irritation and thrusts his paws out causing all of the candles to go out in order

"You were saying" Shifu says while rubbing one of his paws in a satisfied but nervous way

"I have had a vision.." Oogway say suddenly slightly shaking because of his strong but old body "Tai Lung will return" he says sorrowfully. Shifu feels darkness surround him suddenly as if he was the only person in the world, it all seemed so fast, memories of Tai Lung attacking his growls were like thunder, his blade like claws, and his eyes...people say eyes are the window to the soul, but his were not windows they were red as flames and shined for anyone to see they projected his thoughts, when Shifu snapped out of it he panicked in disbelief

"That is impossible! He is in prison" he said shaking his head, slightly mad at his Master for coming to that conclusion

"Nothing is impossible" Oogway said reinforcing the fact. Shifu's eyes widen, his ears tilt down and his mouth is open in shock, it couldn't be possible could it?

"Zeng!" He yelled as he got slight composure "fly to Chorh-Gom prison and tell them to double the guards, double their weapons, double everything!" He yelled poking and standing over the goose "Tai Lung does not leave that prison!" He expressed

"Yes Master Shifu!" He yells rushed he turns around and flies right away and crashes into a pole with a "squawk" but continues to fly anyway

"One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it" Oogway says walking away, Shifu looks at him after hearing this his ears go down and he shakes his head angrily

"We have to do something!" He exclaims "we can't let him march on the valley, take his revenge!" He tried to explain "he'll he'll-"

"Your mind is like this water, my friend" Oogway interrupts and Shifu looks at him strangely "when it is agitated, it becomes difficult to see" he explains "but if you allow it to settle..." he says and taps the water with his staff "the answer becomes clear" he explains more as the reflection of the dragon scroll can be seen Shifu looks up to see it in between the teeth of a golden Chinese dragon

"The dragon scroll" Shifu says in awe

"It is time" Oogway says in agreement as Shifu stares at it intrigued

"But who?" Shifu asked interested and scared "who is worth to be trusted with the secret to limitless power?" Shifu asks concerned "to become 'The Dragon Warrior'" Shifu asks so the old tortoise will tell him the future of the dragon scroll. Oogway decides to answer truthfully though Shifu looks at him like his crazy. He simply said three words...

"I don't know."
