I blink my eyes a couple if times, trying to process this oh-so wonderful news I had just heard from my oh-so wonderful boss, Mr. Grimmer. Whom, might I add, is a complete and utter moron.
"You're fired." He bluntly stated to me, picking up the files on his desk and fixing them up so that they would be in good shape.
It felt like my heart stopped, like I couldn't breath anymore, as if I were underwater.
I take a moment to gather up the information I had just received, placing a few stray strands of my dull, brown hair back in place. "Mr. Grimmer, I'm sorry, but, what did you just say?" I question, feeling the anger that was building up inside me surge throughout my veins.
"I said you're fired. What, you got a problem? Go solve it yourself, not my fault your a bad librarian." He folded his arms across his chest and whirled his chair around like nothing had just happened.
I stood up quickly and slammed the palm of my left hand down onto his wooden desk. I bring it back up and wave it around, glaring at him while I tried to stop the pain. "You ass! You act like nothing just happened! I've been here for two years, two fucking years! Longer than any of those whore's you've picked up off the streets the last... I don't know... sixth months!" I growl out and spit on his desk, landing my saliva spot on his files.
I had finally gave him a piece of my mind, and it only had to cost my job! Yippee!
His face turned up to mine, anger written all over is pretty-boy features. "And what about my stuff, huh?" I say with a snort, "What, you gonna keep that?"
"Actually, well, yes. I am." He quickly responded, making my jaw drop all the way to the carpet floor.
"What in the actual fuck, Nicholas Grimmer! You piece of utter shit! That is my stuff that I bought all with my own money since your lazy ass only smoked with those potheads out back every day at the end of school ever since last freaking year!" I felt my voice crack at the last bit of my sentence. Dammit, Brooke. Stay strong!
A tear began to build up in my right eye, but I shook my head and wiped it away. I needed to stay in character until I left the school building, goddammit!
He looked a bit taken aback, probably from me calling him out on hanging out with the weed smoking pieces of shit that go out back and smoke whatever it is. Either way, I could tell that I wasn't doing a good job on trying to convince him to give me my job back, and yet I'm happy about it...
Oh, right. Now I remember. Because my boss is a fucking idiot who thinks he's still in high school, where you can only date the hot girls and hang out with the guys that do the unthinkable.
But this isn't high school. This is real life; reality. And right now, hes messing up my school career of being a librarian. And it hurts... Aah, no! Shut up inner me!
I swiftly turn away from him, hearing him clear his throat. "I have not done such a thing," Nicholas said, recollecting himself. I stride over to his wooden door and snap my head back to his face. His facial expression was priceless, he looked like he had just shit himself.
A smirk makes its way up my lips as I open his door. "Sure," I blankly say, and before he could say anything back to me, I had already left the room.

I yawned and kept walking along the sidewalk, dully looking around. God, my feet are killing me... I began to mentally whine. I mean, how could he do this to me?
