Deciding that there was time for one more thing, I took them to get in line for the train, watching as they began to get excited. Kenny came up to me, and began tapping my arm to get my attention.

"Miss Silver, could you come over and play with me?" I smiled and leaned down.

"Sure! Let's go, then!" She grabbed my hand and began walking to the front of the line and sat me down. We spent about ten minutes laughing and sitting there, laughing as they tried teaching me new games of patty cake. It seemed that they enjoyed my misery as I failed and tried to learn the new games and would roll over on the ground laughing as I sat there confused.

It was our turn now, to get on the train and since the class was so big, it had to be split into two groups. I let the first group board and I saw the train driver look at me at the same time I turned to glance at him. We both smiled and I looked away, blushing. I looked up and saw that the kids were almost all loaded up and I raised my voice to the train driver once again.

"Take care of my little ducklings!" He gave me a questioning look and I repeated the statement, watching as he pretended to think about it and shook his head. I gaped at him, the corner of my mouth lifted up. I pointed my finger at the floor and brushed it down with my other finger in a sign of shame, and he repeated the gesture back. I put the sign down and began brushing down my whole arm, as a sign of extreme shame and he cracked up and leaned over the steering wheel laughing.

"What are you trying to do, brush the mexican off of you?" I burst out laughing harder. "No wonder you're so pale!" He burst out laughing again and started the ride. I waved the children off and turned back around to face the other half of the class and the teacher. She gave me a knowing smile and I returned one, frowning slightly.

Suddenly, the little girls that had been playing patty cake with me began surrounding me.

"Miss Silver! Miss Silver! Would you please ride the train with us? Please?" They all started agreeing with Kenny until I was in the middle of a group of little kids begging me to ride the train with them. I stared at them shocked, then turned to look at the teacher who simply smiled and waved her hand as if allowing me to go with them.

"Hold on, guys! Give me a second." I walked up to the teacher. "Would you be willing to take care of the other half of the class while I ride with this group?"

"Oh, of course! Since this is the last ride, we were thinking of taking the kids to the restroom while we wait for you guys. Go ahead!" I smiled.

"Thank you very much!" I walked back over to the group and quickly agreed. "Ok, guys, I can go on the train with y'all!" They all started screaming and jumping with joy. I laughed and held my hands up. "Why do y'all want me to ride the train with y'all, though? I've done this for two years and you guys are the only group that has ever asked me!"

One of the little girls answered. "Because we like you miss! You've been very nice to us all day!" They all agreed. I blushed and looked down.

"Aww! You guys are the best!" They all laughed and grouped around me in a big hug. I felt like my heart was about to burst from the adorableness of the kids... either that or the sun was getting to me.

The other group got off, and I waited until their teacher had grouped them and took them to the bathrooms a few feet away. Once I was sure they were safely grouped, I turned and looked to see if there was a spot for me on the train. I spotted one at the front where Kenny had saved one for me.... Conveniently behind the train conductor...

I tried my hardest not to blush as I sat down. "Are y'all ready?" I turned in my seat, watching the kids scream as they raised their hands and giggled. I laughed and turned back around, trying to ignore looking at the conductor. "So did you guys have fun today?" I asked the girls.

"Oh, I had a lot of fun today, Miss Silver!" cried Kenny.

"Me too!" I laughed as the girls sitting behind us agreed and that caused everyone to start saying they had fun as well. I glanced at the conductor unintentionally and saw him smiling at me in the rearview mirror. I blushed and looked down.

"So, you're still wearing that hat, huh?" I heard his deep voice say. I looked up and smiled.

"Of course! Why wouldn't I? I love this hat!" I beamed at him. He burst out laughing, shaking his head.

I looked away and began laughing and looking at the animals as we passed by them in the tents. Glancing up, I saw him look away and turn the train to go back. I looked down and saw Kenny staring at me. I blushed and looked away wondering if she knew what was happening.

Right as we were almost back to the beginning, I heard the guy talk again.

"Days' almost done. You ready?" I nodded and he stopped the train. I got off and saluted.

"Thanks, taxi man!" I joked. He smiled and shook his head. I herded the children together and began taking them to where the rest of the class was. I glanced back at the guy and saw him smile slightly and shake his head. He looked up so I smiled and held up my thumb, pointer and pinky fingers; the sign language symbol for "I love you".

Realizing what I did, I turn around blushing and lead the kids to use the restroom. I looked back at the conductor guy and saw him looking at me in shock. Noticing that I was watching him, he smiled and made a gesture as if to question me. I shrugged and made a heart with my hands. His face grew shocked again before a wide smile flashed.

I turned away and blushed, watching and waiting for the kids to finish up and line up again. Once they had lined up, and we had grouped up the other class that had come with them, we began walking to the bus. When it came time to load them up, the kids started protesting and they all grouped around and began hugging me. I felt my heart about to burst and I felt tears rise to my eyes.

"Ok guys, that's enough!" I laughed and took a deep breath. "You need to get on the bus before it leaves you!" I began shooing them to the bus as they groaned and they began hugging me individually as they got on. I stayed by the bus for a few minutes to make sure the other class got on before I waved at all the kids through the windows and began walking back to turn in my group sign.
