Chapter 3

Rae’s POV

Tay pulled me out of the gym roughly,

“You didn't tell me you had a thing for the coach!” She said gushing.

“I--” I stuttered, sure that my face was turning bright red. “I dont!”

“Come on Rae, you don't have to lie to me, i’m your best friend!” She said starting to pout.

“I don’t! He wanted to help me with some basketball!” I said in my defense.

“I saw the way he was holding you!” She said giggling.

“Rae and Mr. Baron sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S---” She was cut off as i started tickling her in the middle of the sidewalk.

“Nooo!” We giggled together.

“But no really though” She said seriously. “What’s up with you and him?”

“Nothing really, yes i will admit he is seriously hot…” I smiled. Grabbing my phone out of my pocket and the slip of paper he gave me as well.

“Is that his number??” She asked suddenly astonished.

“Yes.” I said blushing. “You know he is Sam’s brother?”

“WHAT?” She yelled.

“Yeah, he mentioned to me how Sam is a jerk to all the beautiful girls” I smiled. “When he learned i’m dating sam”

“AWWW” She giggled. “That’s so cute!”

“I know!” I said happily. As my phone started ringing in my hand. I answered it without looking at the caller ID. A mistake i will never make again.

“Hey Rae!” Sam’s voice said through the phone.

“What do you want. Are you going to apologize?” I said through my teeth angrily.

“Yes, I am sorry. I had to deal with my parents this morning, i didn’t have practice, i am sorry i lied…” He said apologetically. He actually sounded like he meant it, but i am not stupid.

“Okay, I forgive you!” I said. Then turned to Tay grinning, I covered the mouth of my phone. “Watch this!”

“So Sam, Since i forgave you. i’d like to let you know that we are over, and i dont want to talk to you ever again!” I said hanging up.

“Well that escalated quickly” Tay said laughing. “You feel better now?” She asked as i began to text Chris.

Hey! It’s Rae :)

By the time i got home, Tay and I had talked about the entire day. She made sure i elaborate on the details of Mr. Baron and Gym. I was exhausted. I lay down on my fuzzy purple blanket lying on my bed as a text message came in.

Didn’t think you’d message me!

I didn’t think you were going to answer!

Of course I would!!

Oh! :D 

Would you like to practice basketball some more after school tomorrow? Maybe longer?
