He told me he knew the perfect place to get ice cream, and he was right. I had never been there before, yet I feel like I've been there a million times. Maybe he just makes me feel comfortable. "Can I tell ya something?" he asked me. I was confused, because I was gonna say yes anyways.
"Sure." I obviously stated.
"Do ya wanna go out with me?" When he said this, I was very surprised. Candy said that she was dating him so I didn't know what to say.
"A-arent you and Candy dating?" I asked him trying to clarify everything.
"If we were then I wouldn't have asked you out just now." I guess that was true, but I still didn't quite understand why Candy said that they were dating if they weren't. "Candy was probably just jealous that I had a crush on you and not her. She's been telling everybody that we were dating lately, but I promise that it's not true!"
"It's fine, I'll go out with you. You've probably noticed by now, but I have a crush on you too."
He smiled and stuck a spoonful of ice cream into his mouth.
"Since we don't have school tomorrow, do you wanna go on a real date with me?"
I smiled and answered "of course."
He walked me home and gave me a kiss on the forehead. The warmth of his sweet lips on my head made me feel very loved, and wanted, unlike ever before. It felt like it lasted forever, until he released his lips and smiled at me. Life seemed to be in slow motion for me right now, and I loved it.
