He wondered how long it would take for her to notice him. That he was standing right there, just far enough away so it wasn't obvious he'd been staring at her. Part of him hoped she'd finally see him. Most of him prayed she didn't. He knew how she felt about him. He knew she hated him, and he didn't blame her.
As he watched her swing her leg back and forth, and take a bite out of an apple, he wondered if all his choices in life made him a bad person.
Of course, they did.
And it was for that reason alone that Sasuke knew she'd kill him, or at least try to, if she spotted him here. He remembered the last time they had crossed paths. Back when she, Sakura, and Naruto made it their mission to bring him back. When she ran out to give Sai a piece of her mind, but instead ended up ready to punch Sasuke's face into the dirt. Maybe, if Sakura and Naruto weren't there, she would have. He supposed he would have deserved it. He deserved whatever punishment he might get from her. After all, it was he who left her crying on a lonely street in Konoha.
Yosuga was more than capable of killing him, especially if he refused to put up a fight. It's for that reason that you'd think he would stay as far away as possible from her. You'd think, after all he's done to hurt her and her friends, he would stay clear. He's already caused them so much pain. Yet here he was, watching her take a short break on a solo mission.
He knew Yosuga wouldn't actually kill him. Somewhere deep down, he knew that. But the way she looked at him with eyes full of resentment the last time they met painted a different picture in his head.
He claimed to hate the light, and thrive in the darkness, but when she was practically the Sun he realized that perhaps that wasn't completely true. He said it himself, straight to her face,
"I could never hate you."
And he was never one to lie to her, of all people.
He refused to believe he had made a mistake. He was an avenger, first and foremost. No matter how many times she'd tell him she loved him. It wasn't many times she'd let the word "love" slip from her lips, but when she did, he'd revel in it. Even when she said it to get him to stay. A last resort. It made her feel pathetic, but it gave her hope when the word made him stop in his tracks.
When was the last time he had heard someone confess love to him? Like loving his rare smile or how he looked when he was angry, beaten up or trashing everything. How was it possible for someone like her, so pure, to love someone like him? He still asked himself that sometimes. Even though he was sure the word "love" didn't spill from her lips much anymore, especially in relation to him.
But did he love her? Did he ever?
Maybe. In a way.
He never said it, so he supposed there was no way for her to know for sure. Not that she cared anymore.
He realized he gave her a lot of reasons to hate him. Reasons that were overlooked until she was left on that dark street. Now, the roles were reversed as he bit his tongue and watched as she stood from the branch she sat on and continued her journey, away from him.

So I see you guys commenting about liking Yosuga with characters that aren't Sakura, Naruto, or Sasuke, so if you'd like I could start writing about them to. If you want to request something I'd be happy to oblige.
