She jumped and hung on to the edge of the cliff. She struggled to pull herself up on the cliff. Her legs gave out and she fell to the ground. Her breaths were cut off by her constant coughing and gasping.
She couldn't keep her eyes opened. She started to black out. The last thing she saw was a dark shadow towering over her.
Back to (Y/n) and Marshall~
You were pacing back and forth.
"(Y/n), chill I'm sure she's fine." Marshall tried to calm you. "She should have been home hours ago Marshall! What if something happened?" You asked. "She's probably on her way back..." He started to get a little worried too.
You looked out the window and saw the wild fire. "Marshall we have to go now!" You said dragging him out the door. He looked up and saw the same fire. If his heart could beat it'd probably be beating out of his chest.
He lifted you up and flew you over to where the fire was. "Can you pick up her scent?" He asked. You sniffed the air. "No! There's too much smoke!" You panicked.
"She has to be around here somewhere!" Marshall kept looking around.
Back to (C/n)~
The wolf stood over the weaker wolf snarling. He looked around for anyone who was watching. No one was around. He looked back down at (C/n) and aimed for her neck. He lifted her up from the back fluff on her neck and put her on his back and ran off away from the fire.
He was dodging the falling trees and fire. The smoke had blocked his vision and him and (C/n) fell off the cliff into the water below.
(C/n) was sinking into the water. He dove after her and drug her back to the land. Once he put her down she started to wake up. (C/n) coughed as she tried to catch her breath. She changed back into her human form and so did he.
"W-where am I?" She asked. "You're safe, back in your territory." He answered. "My territory? Wait are you are part of that other pack?" She asked. "Yes, why do you care?" He asked her. "Well if you are then you can leave! Your not welcomed here!" She told him a stern tone.
"Hey I just saved your life! A thank you would be nice." He said in anger. "Like I'd thank someone from that horrible pack, now leave!" She tried to walk past him. He smirked and blocked Her way.
She growled a bit and tried walking around but he just repeated his action. She stood your ground and would not turn your back.
"Will you calm down ya abomination?" He asked. She got a closer look at him. He looked like...no it couldn't be. But those teal eyes. Just like... "Kai?" She asked. "About time you figured it out." He chuckled. their reunion was interrupted by a voice.
"(C/n)!" Her mother called out. "Thank goodness your ok!" You hugged her tightly. You looked back at the boy. "What are you doing here?" You growled. "I'm the one that just saved your daughter from her fiery death." He replied with a smug tone.
"It's true mother, I'd be dead if it weren't for Kai." (C/n) spoke up. "That's right, so now you are in my dept." He smirked. "She don't own anything to you!" Marshall told him. "No he's right, I owe him my daughters life."
You thought about it. "Well?" Kai asked. "Fine." You finally spoke. "What do you want?" You asked. "I wish to join your, really small, pack. I've left mine, I finally realized how horribly they've acted in the past. My father does not deserve to be pack leader, I can't follow him. Please let me join you." He begged.
You sighed. "Alright, but one wrong move and you'll be sent back to the pack with a few missing limbs!" You turned your back walking home.
"I'm sorry about her, but you gotta understand she comes from a hurt place. It might take awhile to trust you." (C/n) told Kai. "Oh don't worry, I will make sure she can trust me." He gave a smile. Marshall glances at Kai suspiciously and caught up with you.
"Looks like were gonna be pack partners." (C/n) smiles.
Kai gives a fake smile. "I guess we will. But don't think your mother is off the hook for the past." He thinks to himself.
