I'd be lying if I wouldn't say that I was panicking not seeing Patrick in our music class today. He's nowhere to be seen! Sure, this kind of scenario happens once in a while. But, based on what kind of a student he is in every class– he shouldn't be cutting class right now. Especially, in a not-so-hard class. And besides, it's our last subject of the day! But, who am I to ponder?
The rest of the class, went like a blur. Don't get me wrong, I love music. That's why I've chosen to have this class. Having it with Patrick's just a mini bonus, but right now- I don't think there's anything else I'd like more than just to walk my way home, revise some papers, force myself to continue discussing the upcoming quiz bee with Mrs. Jones on the phone, read books, and finally falling into a deep sleep.
Of course, before I went my short way towards home, I met up with my friends. Oddly enough, one of them was missing. Usually we'd all be complete before leaving school. Why are people disappearing too fast this day?
"Where's Fiona?" I asked casually, eyeing up the three suspiciously– not that all of them would know.
"Carson said she disappeared during communications class." Danielle shrugged. Seriously?
"Carson?" I dragged. Are these people really trying to test my patience? 'Cause please, no thank you. We've all had a long day. From the corner of my eye, I saw Holly cautiously pretending to read her notes, obviously not wanting to be interrogated. I mean, not like she would know. Her and Danielle takes up a different class.
"She just told me that she'll be right back. She walked her way towards Mrs. Davidson's desk, and whispered to her a few things that I swear to god did not heard. That's all. She never came back, though."
Well, that was definitely mysterious. Patrick went missing as well. Asking him where he'd been would make me sound like a creepy girlfriend. But there are two things that's clearly impossible to happen in this world:
1. I wouldn't dare to start being all creepy around him. Never.
2. I can't ever be his "girlfriend". Never.Yup. Keep telling that to yourself, Clem. Nobody, I repeat, nobody- can predict what their future holds, Blue.
"–I'm sure she'll tell us where she's been later." Holly states the obvious, while the other two agrees. Was that all that she's said? Sometimes I hate how my mind speaks to me in unnecessary situations. And this, is definitely one of them. So, I awkwardly cleared my throat and said my goodbyes. Not daring to look back. As I heard one of them mutter,
"What's up with her?"
"Let her be. It's just the stress."
Yes. Exactly. It's just, the stress.

I went home expecting the usual stuff. Mom and dad asking me how my day was or if there was anything unnecessary that had happened. I still don't understand why'd they have to ask me the same question every single day. I mean, besides from the typical bullies in school, there aren't much to worry about. Except for that one girl.
Zannie
Zannie Roberts. Another student of my age. The school's most popular/bitchiest highschool girl ever. No one from my kind or even from other kinds ever dared to step on her path– not even me. I heard her talking about my popularity rate one time, I know it isn't much of a BIG deal, but it sure was for me. I didn't care about my popularity, but the fact that she was talking about me? It's definitely something that'll make me anxious. Yes, another one of those cliché highschool experiences. I mean, who wouldn't have a bitch in their own school, right? Every school has their own devil in it. Please take note: There's no such thing as an angelic student if there isn't a devilish one.
How else would a certain someone notice an individual's kindness if there isn't another individual who'd show the exact opposite?
Well, as long as my friends and I stay out of her way, there wouldn't be much of a problem, wouldn't it?
Talking to Mrs. Jones was a mess. Luckily, we'd successfully finished talking about the finalizations for Friday. All the participants are complete, questions and answers checked, me not having to join the event– check. Yup, I didn't have to compete. Who knew Mrs. Jones would be considerate enough to make me as the event's organizer instead? That's what I've been doing the whole time anyway! So, not having to join was a huge relief.
I've also finished revising some papers. I knew I didn't really have to, but it was like a part of my daily routine already. And yes! Finally, some calming time with my usual cup of coffee, a few snacks for me and my cat, Cora. Yeah, i have a cute fluffy cat around. And of course, a lovely book to read–
"Clementine! Someone's on the phone for you!" Mom shouts from the living room.
I swear to god if that's Holly, I'm going to strangle her tomorrow! She knows how my daily routine after school goes. But, I highly doubt that it's her. Maybe it's Fiona? Finally caring enough to explain where'd she went to in the last hour of school–
"It's a guy!"
What?! Weird. No other guy would dare to call me, but Carson. Although, if it was him, mom could've said it is him and that it's a gay and not a guy...
"Clementine Blue, can you please just get your ass down here?!"
And that's when I rushed my way down the stairs, stumbling in the process as I reached my mom who had an eyebrow perked up in question.
"Expecting a guy to call?"
"Mom, I swear to Luke Skywalker or onto any stormtroopers that I'm absolutely not expecting any guy to call." Mom doesn't want me doing any form of blasphemy around the house, so uhm yeah. She eyes me up first and eventually hands me the phone, walking not too far away from where I stood. Typical moms.
"Thank you! For disturbing me from my after school relaxation, this is Clementine Blue speaking. How may I possibly help you?" I knew I had the right to speak that way, not like any teachers or other school staffs would call my house at this time of the day.
"Hey, Clementine!"
