Chapter 11: Problems

You have reached Shannon Ashley Mitchell. This isn't her but it's Shay's assistant, Sammy. She probably doesn't wanna talk to you or is busy right now. Leave a message after the beep. *boop*

I decided not to leave a message cause I don't wanna be that awkward person who is always concerned with people even though they're possibly okay. So I decided to text her again. It's been days since she was in that party. Maybe a week already.

Ashley: Talk to me. Don't ignore me. Please. I hope you're okay.

That's a fine message I guess. I don't have any plans right now. I'm not up for a party. But there's this one thing that has got me thinking. I was offered a role for a movie. I could either be the deuteragonist or the protagonist. I'm not used to being the main character that much but my character has an interesting background. I think I wouldn't be able to act as the sidekick that much cause she's boyish and I'm not really that boyish.

The director gave me a sample script and description about the 2 different characters in the story. I had a long time deciding who I wanted to be and the director said that I could call anytime if I had made a decision. If I declined, they would just find a different actress. But I want to have this opportunity so I wouldn't decline. I only have 2 weeks left to decide since the filming would start in a month. So I started dialing the director's number and he picked it up in a heartbeat.

"Ms Benson! What makes you calling?" The director or Mr Collins said full of blissfulness.

"Uh hey Mr Collins. I have already made a decision with the 2 roles that you offered me."
I say.

"Ooh that's excellent to hear. Who's role are you going to play?" He really sounds like a Deal or No Deal host whenever he talks which is good cause he's not really that strict from what I hear.

"I choose the main character."

"Yes! Good choice Ms Benson. Now, I'm going to have to see an audition of you since we also offered this role to someone else and she also accepted it. We can't choose between you two so you need to come tomorrow at 3PM." He says. Oh no, what if I don't get the role?

"Okay. Thanks so much Mr Collins. I'll see you tomorrow.

"And don't worry, it's okay if you don't get the lead role, there's still the sidekick." He says and laughs a little. He's not strict but he's pretty smug. "And also, we need to find you a good partner."

A partner? Like a best friend in the movie? Probably. The story is about 2 friends anyways.

"Yeah okay. Bye now." I say since I don't really want to here him talking loudly into my right ear anymore so I shut my phone off.

So the story is about 2 best friends who try and discover the mysteries of their small town. I love mystery. Almost similar to PLL but there's only 2 people.

It was pretty early in the morning right now. I'm so bored I'll just stay in and binge watch Netflix probably. Either Riverdale or 13 Reasons Why. I can't choose. They're so interesting cause like I said, I love mystery.

But for now, I took a shower and changed into my normal house clothes but not pajamas. And I just put on a few makeup because why not? I'm in the shower for so long so it was basically lunchtime now. Luckily I got groceries. Then I was reminded about what happened this morning. I tried to forget it and I was actually able to brush it off while making lunch.
