~3rd Person~
Genevieve awoke one morning to find her village hungry, not starving, but in need of more food, so as the daughter of the chief and head gatherer/huntress she went alone to get food for her village taking nothing but a basket. She spent an hour hunting, two hours gathering, and 45 minutes playing with the animals. When she returned they had a feast and danced most of the night. She had to think whether or not it was her birthday, it wasn't until tomorrow. She decided to shake off the confusion.
When she was sure her people were all asleep she ran off into the forest. She gathered up five fireflies in the lantern like thing strapped to her back-pack and took off swinging into the mysterious beyond.
~ Genevieve ~
As I swung from vine to vine, I felt so free! Night time was my time! After running out of vines to swing from, I chose to walk. Out of nowhere I heard a stick snap! I turned hoping it was a friend or someone from the tribe, to be looking square in the eyes of huge black panther. I was more fascinated then I was scared! I could tell by her shape that it was a female -I have always been good at identifying living things-, I also felt like she wasn't here to hurt me. So I stuck out my hand to pet her, like, as some would say, an idiot. To my utter surprise she didn't pull back, instead she pushed forward, like a pet would, so I petted her. All of a sudden something jumped out at me, the panther lunged forward and I'm pretty sure killed what ever wanted to harm me. I stared at her with wide eyes. After minutes I finally snapped back to reality and thanked her. I decided to go back home, she chose to lead me there. I thanked her again and went to bed.
