"....Darrell?"

I said in shock.

"Yes. I knew you looked familiar. Long time no see. How have you been?"

He questioned. Smiling widely.

"I've been great, thanks for asking. I recognized your voice, it's a lot deeper than i remember but I still found it familiar. & I agree, the last time we saw one another was our Sophomore year in High School right?"

I said unsurely.

"Yes. I believe so... so are you waiting on someone or-?"

I cut him off.

"I'm actually here with a few friends. You remember Monae and Mariah right? I was always with them... 2 of my best friends.. One was tall with the-"

I tried to jog his memory.

"Oh yeah! I remember them. Monae still got that big mouth?"

He said jokingly.

"In fact, she does."

I said while coming to the realization.

"So what do you do?"

He questioned.

"What do you mean?..."

I asked. Not understanding him.

"I mean your occupation."

He replied smiling.

"Oh. I am a licensed beautician."

I said proudly.

"Really? Do you travel?"

He asked.

"Oh no. I actually own a salon here in Georgia."

I said.

"Congratulations. You always seemed like the type that would be in charge.... or Own your own business.."

He replied.

"Thanks. I try. It's alot harder than it sounds."

I sighed.

"God doesn't place more on you than you can bare, I'm sure you can handle it."

He justified.

Just as I was about to reply his phone rang. I took another sip of my drink and started nodding my head to Rico Love's song They Don't Know.

"You better like this song.."

He said looking at me sideways while stuffing his phone back in his pocket.

I giggled while nodding my head to let him know I did. I actually love this song.

"I apologize for that call by the way. But umm.. I'm about to go. I was thinking we could exchange numbers. I'll be in town for 3 more days. I'd like to finish catching up with you. I mean.... if it's okay with you."

He asked unsurely.

I hesitated. Darrell & I are just old friends... but I did have a inevitable crush on him at one point of time. I never told him though. I've never told anyone. But that was years ago. I'm pretty sure he has good intentions, but I feel as if i'd be being disloyal to Kinsley... I wonder if Kinsley thinks the way I do when it comes to our relationship. On second thought....

"Yes. It's completely fine with me. Let me give you my number."

I said, extending my hand to Darrell for his phone.
