(Y/N) has known Angela and her friends ever since they were kids. They all had these amazing adventures. They all went to the same primary school.

On the last day of their final year at the primary level, Randall wanted to go on an archeological expedition. He sounded elated and joyous whenever he talked about archeology. Although none of his other friends had any interest in archeology, it had always seemed to pique (Y/N)'s interest.

She was so happy that he wanted to go on this expedition. She has always wanted to go on one of Randall's famous archeological excursions, but Angela, Hershel, and Henry always say it is not safe and that she could get hurt. She didn't care about getting hurt. She just wanted to go on the expedition.

This time, (Y/N) finally got what she wanted, without anyone to tell her no.

This expedition was going into the forest near Stansbury to search for anything suspicious or exciting.

As Randall and (Y/N) were walking in the forest, as quiet as a mouse, (Y/N) stepped on something. Their eye was sent flying over to a hidden cave that had appeared out of nowhere.
Then Randall said, "Good job, (Y/N)! I am glad that you have found that button, even if it was on accident! If not, we probably would have found nothing, but here it is! The rumored Cave of Sorrow! Who knew it was in the forest next to Stansbury?!"

Randall, bursting with excitement, grabbed (Y/N)'s wrist and ran into the Cave of Sorrow. All of the walls were covered entirely with cave drawings, most showing gruesome acts. It was a little bit too much for the two, so they looked away from the walls.

They noticed how this place defined the meaning of sorrow.

On the first level down, there were statues of crying mothers holding their stillborn babies.

On the second level down, there were stone caskets everywhere.

On the third level down, there were statues of beheaded animals.

While walking on the third level down (Y/N) started to feel vibrations from the ground. "Randall, move out of the way!" (Y/N) yelled at Randall, trying to warn him about the tremors she had felt, although he was not listening. As she grabbed his wrist, she pulled him over to her when the boulder had fallen from the ceiling.

Randall had finally realized what was happening around him. He noticed that (Y/N)'s (Y/E/C) eyes brimmed with tears. She thought that Randall could have died.

Before her eyes could let out a tear, Randall hugged the terrified girl. She had started to cry on his striped-red jumper that he had been wearing.

He told her that he was still alive and that everything was okay. However, she was still slightly worried at Randall. He comforted the girl until she calmed down. She told him that she was sorry for ruining his jumper, but he had told her not to worry about the jumper. He was glad that (Y/N) had been with him. If not, he probably would have gotten seriously injured or even worse, die.

He gave the girl a warm smile as he showed her what he had found before the boulder fell. It was an old necklace. It looked like it had been kept safe for years. The berry paint was still visible, and the handmade wooden beads were not broken or chipped.

"Wow... that is amazing! Where did you find it, Randall?" She said joyously. He told her that he saw it at the edge of the most significant area of the third floor down. He had grabbed it before she had saved him from the boulder.

"Hey, (Y/N). I am glad that you had been there when I needed you the most. Thank you for saving me from that boulder earlier." He gave her the treasure he had just found. "Here is my gift of gratitude for saving me."

As he gave her the necklace, her eyes started to become watery again. She hugged Randall as she said a small thank you. He replied to her with a little, you're welcome as he hugged her back.
A few minutes later, they started to make their way out of the cave. When they made it out, they noticed that the sun was setting and that Henry and Hershel were standing outside of the forest waiting for them.

When they got to their friends, they started to talk about their adventure except for certain parts of the story. When the four split up to go home that night, Hershel and (Y/N) started to speak about what they were going to do this summer.

She thought about Randall's summer expeditions, swimming, and hanging out at each other's houses.

That summer was the best summer that the group had ever had.

And one girl had developed a little affection for the ginger.

Her name was (Y/N).
