"Minyara, I know you have some knowledge of why your name came up for what happened to that girl."
"Mother I don't. I. Don't. Know. I am not responsible for what happened that night and I just want to forget about it!"
Minny did not intentionally yell, but the last month's shenanigans has had her on the edge emotionally and mentally. Along with her mother's agitation growing more as the days progressed, she just lashed out.
Ruthi sighed in response because Minyara was not budging about what exactly caused her daughter's expulsion. She did not care how she would get it out of her, but she was dedicated to figure it out sooner than later.
"You had to have some type of involvement and you're not about to wait around to give me an answer; especially when it involes your studies."
"Excuse my french, but fuck my 'studies'. I just need you to get out of my apartment."
"That is not how you speak to me. I am your mother Minyara."
"You're not acting like it! A mother actually takes notice when something's wrong with their child. It has been a month and I can realize myself that everything is not okay with me."
Ruthi went to speak, but she was abruptly cut off by her daughter's words.
"Have you thought that maybe that whole situation has taken a toll on my life as well?"
Her mother just stared.
"Instead of me having to actually tell you what's wrong with me, maybe you should use your 'mother's intuition' and just be there for me! Maybe I just want to be loved by the only person who is supposed to be here for me in my time of need."
Ruthi turned away from her daughter, battling the feelings of conflict and unconcern.
She did not care that her daughter was hurting at the moment because she was dead set in getting what she wanted, but she was conflicted because something was actually compelling her to hear her daughter out.
However, Ruthi was set in her ways and refused to back down even when she sees her daughter in a vulnerable state.
"I'm going to go now because you asked, but I expect an explanation of the events that caused this whole debacle. Bye."
And with that, she made her departure.
At this point, Minyara was sobbing. The last two days have been filled with consistent interrogation from her mother since they found out that her expulsion takes place as soon as the spring semester begins.
All this is taking place due to a night of misfortune that resulted in three different, unfortunate outcomes that included the lives of three young women.
Unfortunately, one of them is dead.
