As the summer began, Hermione had to say goodbye to all of her friends. "I don't want to stay here! I want to come with both of you." Hermione sighed as she looked at Harry and Ron. "Cheer up Hermione. The summer will be done before you know it." Ron gave a big smile at her. "Alright, Harry. Ron. On the train now. Or y'er going to get late." Hagrid had given them a big hug and waited for the train to leave so he could cry a little.
Hermione walked back to Hogwarts and saw the empty hallways. She never felt this lonely in a long time. "Ms. Granger, please meet me at the Qudditch fields with Malfoy." Hermione turned around to see Professor McGonagall standing with her arms crossed. "Ok, we will meet you there."
Hermione walked up to the Great but empty Hall and saw Draco sitting there doing nothing. "Malfoy. Professor McGonagall is calling us to the Quidditch fields now." Draco turned his head to see Hermione standing there with her arms crossed." Draco got up with a tired look on his face. "Go. I will be there."
As Hermione walked up to the field it felt so empty. Nobody was there. Except Draco. He stood out pretty well with his white hair. Hermione couldn't resist laughing. "what's so funny?" Hermione looked up and saw Draco walking up to her. "What is it Malfoy." Draco pulled up a smirk on his face. "Professor McGonagall isn't here so let's play a little game of Qudditch." Draco brought his broom and gloves already. "Fine. But go easy on me. I don't play much Quidditch." Hermione got a broom from the storage area and hopped on to it. The beater was out. Hermione went as fast as she could to get it from Draco. "Ow! You can't do that in Quidditch!" Draco started shouting at her because she kept slapping his head. A few minutes had passed and the score was 3-1. Draco was winning of course. Hermione flew by, next to Draco and started pushing him away from the ball in his hand. It was getting a little more competitive. "You're not going to win Granger. There is no use in trying. Mudblood." Hermione was furious. Her anger filled up her emotions. "You can't say that to me anymore!" Hermione pushed Draco of his broom and he lost balance and so did Hermione. "Aaaahhhh!!!!!" As Hermione was falling to her death. She saw Draco was falling beneath her and all of a sudden, Hermione felt someone almost hug her from the waist. "Calm down." Hermione heard a strange but relaxed voice. They both were inches away from falling but Professor McGonagall was just in time. Hermione was squeezing Draco so tight. She didn't even realize that they weren't falling anymore. "You can let go of me now." Draco pushed Hermione off of him. "Gross!"
Hermione got up but realized that professor McGonagall was gone. "W-where'd she go?" Draco got up and looked around for a while but didn't manage to find her. "What are we supposed to do right now. You did say she was going to meet us here. Or were you just lying because you wanted hang out with me." Draco had a disgusted look on his face. "That's horrible. Do you actually think I want to hang out with you?! You're a mean and rude person!" Hermione crossed her arms and wanted to punch Draco. "I was the one who technically saved you! Why did I even do that?! I should've let you died! I'd be happy spending my time here over the summer then."
Hermione was done with the conversation. She decided to walk back to the common room realizing that Professor McGonagall was not coming due to some meeting. Hermione hated her summer so far. All she knew now was Draco and her are never going to be friends.
-Knock, knock-
Hermione ran up to the door, opened it and saw Professor McGonagall there. "Oh! Good morning professor! Come in" Hermione fixed her messy hair from what happened in the fields. "I-I thought you were in some meeting so I left. What brings you here?" Professor McGonagall smiled with a calm face. "I wanted to suggest something to you Ms. Granger." Hermione was very curious now. It looked like Professor McGonagall was trying to be extra nice or something. "Well, you see. The common rooms must feel so empty here. Especially without your friends. It's also the same for Draco. So I was suggesting to put you both into one room." Professor McGonagall gave a worrisome smile at Hermione, knowing that the students hate each other. "U-um i don't know what to say... why would you like us to move into ONE room?" Hermione was shaking. She didn't want to go and sleep in the same room as someone she hates. "They have to close every dorm room in this school, so I asked them if we can reserve any, one room."
Hermione really didn't want to. She had no choice. "Well if they HAVE to do that, I will agree to this." Hermione wanted to scream at the top of her lungs. "Thank you for understanding Hermione. Now, I will let you and Mr. Malfoy decide on which houses room you both would like to stay in."
Hermione just wanted to stay in her own room. Hermione didn't want to go in some Slytherin room. As Hermione walked up to Draco to tell him about the plan, she saw Draco walking up to her as well. "Hi", "um. You go first." Hermione did want to say what she needed to but he needed to say something as well. " McGonagall told me. I have decided it would be best if we stay in MY room." Hermione didn't expect that. "No! It should be MY room. I can't stay in a Slytherin room!"
Draco and Hermione didn't realize that they were screaming at each other. "Fine, who ever finds  McGonagall first, gets to choose." Hermione already had a feeling that things were going to go her way. "Fine. Your time starts now!" Hermione and Draco went separate ways trying to find McGonagall, but she was no where to be found. "This is not fair! Where is she?!" Hermione ran up and down the stairs, through the halls and into a lot of classrooms, until she saw Draco standing next to McGonagall. "Oh stop with the smiling! You can choose now." Hermione rolled her eyes at him and wanted to cry. She didn't want to go to a Slytherin room. "Professor we will stay in the Slytherins room. Can we stay in my room then?" McGonagall smiled. "Yes. Is Ms. Granger ok with that?" Hermione couldn't stay in one room with Malfoy. "Professor, can't we have two separate rooms?!" McGonagall turned around. "I'm sorry, we can only keep one room for both of you. I suggest you start bringing your things into Mr. Malfoy's room." As professor McGonagall was walking away, Hermione ran up to Draco and slapped him across the head. "Ow! What was that for you filthy mudblood!" Hermione wanted to kill him. But she couldn't. So she decided to step on his foot. "Ow! Stop it!"
Hermione went up to her room and packed her bags, She knew everything would be awkward around the both of them as they had to stay in one room. "I'm going to kill myself. Hermione! Come back in your senses!" Hermione didn't even realize that she was talking to herself. As she was walking with four big bags around her arms she saw McGonagall and Draco. She then gave Draco a very scary stare. "Malfoy, go and help Ms. Granger with her bags. She is going to your room." Hermione didn't need his help, but she had no choice. McGonagall was staring at them. "Give me your bags Granger." As Hermione gave all her bags to him, she happily went up the stairs until she stopped right in front of the Slytherin painting that opens to the common room. "Are you going to open it?" Hermione was waiting because Draco was still halfway there. "Maybe you want to slow down Granger. You just decided to give me all your bags. What's even in them?!" As Draco walked in front of Hermione,  she saw Draco carrying all her bags and walking into the room. She felt a weird sensation going down her spine. Hermione continued ignoring it. "This is it." Draco put Hermione's bags down, technically throw them to the other side of the floor. Hermione didn't realize how neat and organized Draco was. "Wow. Um it's pretty nice. Where will I sleep then?"
Draco rolled his eyes at her. "Since there is one bed. You will sleep on the floor and I will sleep in my own bed." Hermione couldn't sleep on the floor. It was the opposite of okay. "No, since I'm the guest I get to sleep on the bed. You sleep on the floor! You have no manners!" Draco couldn't stand her babbling for hours. "If you continue talking, you will be sleeping outside." This was the end for Hermione. She couldn't stand it. "Why are you so mean! Don't you care about people?!" As Hermione walked up to Draco, she tripped from the bags on the floor and fell on top of Draco. "Ow! Get off Gra-" Draco stopped talking. He didn't know why but he stopped. Hermione was on top of him and their faces were so close. Too close to be exact. Hermione bored her chestnut coloured eyes  into Draco's gray eyes. "Um- well if you d-didn't throw the bags w-wherever you wanted, this wouldn't have happened." Draco heard a knock on the door and threw Hermione to the other side. As the door opened, they saw McGonagall. "Oh. Professor... come in." Hermione got up and pretended to act as if nothing happened. "Was I disturbing anything? I heard some shouting so I came in to check. Is everything alright?" Hermione and Draco gave a worrisome smile at her. "Y-yes everything is fine." Hermione was turning red. "Oh! Are you okay dear? Your red!"
