zonnique.

After a extremely long four weeks, I was finally back home in Atlanta. I went away to California for business purposes and as much as I adore working, I could finally say I was actually happy to be home. Especially, since I was away from my one year old daughter, Ariana. She's my world and I couldn't have been more thankful to be able to bring her into this world. And, then there's my wonderful boyfriend, Daniel. We've been with each other through everything. The amount of breakups we've went through couldn't even be counted.

Our relationship isn't the best but, it works sometimes. Majority of the problems are his fault and it's always been that way unfortunately. The matte black Range pulled up to the medium sized condo and parked in the driveway. I got out of the car and walked around to the trunk. Dylan, my driver stepped out of the car also and met me at the trunk.

"You need to hurry up and get inside before the paparazzi come and surround the place." He smiled, opening grabbing my bags out of the trunk and then facing me.

Returning the smile I nodded in agreement. "You're right. I don't feel like dealing with them at the moment. But, thank you for running around the city with me I really appreciate it."

"You don't have to thank me, it's my job. You have a good day now."

I nodded and then proceed to walk up to the front door. I pulled my keys out of my purse, unlocking the door and walking inside. Surprisingly, it was actually quiet inside. Usually it's always something crazy going on but, it's calm and that's all that matters. Without adding onto any noise, I carefully walked up the steps and loved the sight I was seeing. Daniel was in the hallway chasing after Ariana. Once she seen me, she stopped in her tracks and smiled widely showing her tooth.

"MA MA." She blurted out, running towards me.

I caught her in my arms and picked her up. "Mommy missed you so much! Look at your tummy, daddy been fattening you up."

She giggled and clapped her hands. I walked down the hall and into the bedroom. Daniel was stretched out on the bed like he was super tired.

"So what now? I don't get no hug? No kiss? Nothing? I know you not tired." I shook my head and sat down beside him, placing Ariana on my lap.

He sat up on his elbows and looked at me. "I've been waiting for you to come home all day. I'm tired, I had her for four weeks straight. You can watch her while I sleep."

Now, I knew for a fact that he wasn't all that tired. If anyone should be tired, it's me. I've been nonstop working without getting any kind of breaks. I should've expected this to happen.

"You ever think I might be the one that needs some sleep? I just got done from working, all I need is three hours and then I'll take her." I pleaded, followed by a sigh.

He shrugged. "All you think about is yourself. You not really caring that I been going to the studio and watching her at the same time. I need some sleep way more than you do."

"Wow." I shook my head. "Just forget it, you go ahead and get your sleep. I'm not about to argue with you, I don't have time."

"There wasn't about to be an argument so, what are you even talking about? Thank you though, would y'all please go downstairs so I can peacefully sleep?"

"Really? Really, Daniel?" I stood up from the bed, placing Ariana on my hip. "This that shit that you stay doing and it's pissing me the fuck off. But, have a nice sleep."

I didn't bother hearing what he had to say after that. I grabbed my phone out of my purse and walked downstairs into the living room. There were reasons for me not wanting to watch her, while I'm tired as hell. Ever since she was born, I was afraid that if I fell asleep while watching her, she'd hurt herself or get into something. But, as always Daniel thinks his sleeps matters more than mine. I laid down on the couch with her laying on my chest.

"It's time for you to get yourself a nap so that mommy can get one too." I softly said to her.

She just grinned and played with my neckless. Not even a minute passed before, I felt myself falling asleep. Each and every time I tried closing my eyes, she'd start crying. Back to parenting on my own again.

6:46pm.

Eight whole hours, is how long Daniel has been awake. I've been fighting my sleep and Ariana has a ton of energy for some reason. I heard footsteps coming downstairs and sat myself up on the couch. Daniel walked into the living room looking well rested and more. Meanwhile, the bags showed under my eyes along with my eyes being red.

"There's my two favorite ladies." He smiled and walked towards the couch. "I couldn't thank you enough for letting me take that nap."

I nodded and stood up. "Could you take Ariana now? It's my turn to get some rest."

"I would but, I can't. Roger just called and I had to head over to the studio right now."

"Why can't you take her with you? The car ride over there is going to make her sleepy so, you wouldn't have anything to worry about."

"She's going to be a distraction and the music would wake her up anyways." He shrugged. "I'll be back in a few hours, I'm not going to forget about your sleep. I promise."

I sighed and sat back down on the couch. "Mhm. Whatever you say, Daniel."

I didn't have the energy to say anything else. I was tired and it clearly showed. I don't understand how I could always be thinking about myself, when he's the one being selfish.
