Jake's POV:

I read the message over and over again trying to figure ut the first clue. "...Jace." I say quietly, as a look of realization hits Jace. "The abandned house in the woods!" Jace and I yell in unison. I glance at the text once more feeling sicker as we drive. Go to the house, where theres trees and a creek. Once you get to the location, look in the bathroom. This little scavenger hunt will be fun....better hurry. This wasn't supposed to happen. Ugh! "Do you think you could hurry up Jace?!" I yell frustrated. "Dude, I'm trying, they're my kids!" Jace yells back. "Well try harder dammit!!" I yell as a tear slips from my eye. I feel so guilty for leaving, I never really spent much time with my neice and nephews.

"Have you found whatever it is we're looking for yet?" Jace asks as he searches through the cupboards while I look in the shower. "Ugh! No! It would help if we knew what we were looking for!" I yell frustrated. "Uh, Jake..." Jace trails off. I look at him, noticing he's holding a sheet of paper. His eyes widen and he bites him lip looking anywhere but me. "What is it?" I ask worried. Jace doesnt say anything so I grab the paper out of his hand while rolling my eyes. I look down and the paper to read the little message.

Go to the woods where you were found.

Obviously they think it's only Amelia doing this since Jace replied to the first message on her phone. "W-what if one of my kids are there?" Jace asks causing me to freeze. "Run!" We both yelled in unison as we begin running to the woods.

"Oh my god..."I whisper at the sight. I look at Jace to see his face pale as one of his hands cover his mouth and his eyes start watering. "Oh my god..." Jace replies as tears spill from his eyes.
