Darkness

Darkness the one thing she didn't enjoy. It covered her world. That is until he decided to take the wheel. The one man, she regretted meeting. Even though he made her stronger, he also changed her and made her forget a lot about her past. She would have these dreams, dreams of some boy coming for her. Rescuing her. Taking her in, then releasing her when she was capable. Darkness something she has always seen. No sunshine. No light. No love. Just death, and darkness. She believed those dreams would never come true. Even though the old wise people of the dark place she comes from, tells her it'll happen, she still doesn't believe. Because, she was born into darkness. Darkness that had no light. She wanted to be rescued but knew she wouldn't. All she wanted was a saviour, but she gave up on that want and focused on what she needed. She needed to help other people, and kill those who were a burden and disgrace to this world. Why people gave her the nickname 'The Silent Siren' was a mystery to her. She just took it in anyways. Accepting it, using the nickname when she needed too and spread the rumor of her nickname. Some people she dealt with asked for a real name, that she didn't give. Because she couldn't remember because he had only called her 'brat' or 'shitty girl'. She actually answered to brat, because she was called it so much in her lifetime. When people would suddenly call a stealing child a 'brat' she would ask what they needed. Because she thought the person was talking to her. Darkness. Something she wanted to escape. Something she dreamt of leaving. Nightmares, carried away her sleep. She was as much as a mystery to herself than anyone else. She was a weapon. A weapon trained by one of the top criminals in the dark place she lived in.

He woke up from whatever that was and looked at the folder in front of him. "Well you sure have taken quite a few naps today Levi. Is there something wrong?" Levi about threw the knife on his side at the person who was sitting in the corner. That is until he recognized the tall blonde. "Erwin, you almost had your life disappear." Erwin just chuckled. "Make a decision yet?" Levi didn't answer but instead was annoyed and wondered how long Erwin had been in here. "How long were you in here?" Erwin sighed. "Long enough to know you had been dreaming about something strange." Levi raised a brow. "So I am guessing .. the whole time then?" Erwin chuckled. "Yeah, now that you mention it. I have been here since lunch and it's almost an hour before dinner. Levi mumbled,"Creepy bastard. Starting to turn into shitty glasses". Apparently Erwin had heard him because he started to chuckle. "I'm sorry Levi, didn't think that staying in here would bother you so much." Erwin sighed. "Any information?" That is when realization hit Levi. "Tch, yea. I know why I found her familiar. We were raised by the same person. I only caught a glimpse of her once or twice. That was it though. I know more information but I need time to put it together." Erwin nodded his head. "What do you wanna do? Go after her? Sit back and see how much more people she murders?" He thought on what Erwin was saying. "You're suggesting we go catch this damned brat?" Erwin chuckled. "Yes, Levi I am. This is why I forced you to join us. You are good at comprehending stuff." That sentence brought back a memory he wanted to keep hidden. Like Erwin sensed his sudden uneasiness he spoke up. "Sorry for digging at an old wound Levi. Just think about it and come to me when you have something arranged with your squad." With that Erwin walked out.

~Back in who knows where with you~

As you rounded the corner you brought the cloak closer to you. "Damn why does it have to be so cold." You rounded another corner until you saw the one thing you were looking for. "The old lady's shop." When you reached the door you found a note with money inside. You took the money and read the note, 'Dear Siren, I am sorry I couldn't give this too you physically like usual. I have fallen sick and haven't been able to do much. So please take this money incase I die. Which I am afraid I might since I am so old and fragile. Please forgive me. ~Brenda'. You sighed after reading it, then looked to the money and saw that there was 10 times the number of money you usually get. It was enough to get you a horse from a market. "A horse would be useful, but I also need food." You went back down the tunnel you came from before and walked back to your dark home. When there you counted out all your money and the old lady's combined. It still wasn't enough for a horse and food. "Damn it!" You slammed your hand on the table making a few coins clatter. Raking your hands through your greasy hair you leaned back in frustration. "I'm back in the darkness, again. Right when i thought I had a chance too." She jumped when she heard a knock at her door. How could she have not heard them coming up to the house? You grabbed your knife and stood against the wall and opened the door with caution. What you were not expecting was the man standing in front of you. "Do I know you?" You still were frozen in shock cause this man looked familiar. He just furrowed his brows at your question. "Tch." You let him in and he looked around until he spotted the money laid out on the table. "Saving up for something I see." His voice was so deep, so unfamiliar. You had approximately 6 minutes and 30 seconds to distract him and disappear with your money. You had around 2 minutes and 15 seconds to take the money and run, which would be a obvious move. Around approximately 4 minutes and 50 seconds to take him down and knock him out, but all of those thoughts were interrupted by a symbol on his jacket. Blue and white wings. Survey Corps wings. Military. Oh. Shit. "What did you want?" You hid the emotion in your voice and face so he couldn't identify what you were thinking or feeling. He turned to you. "Tch, what else am I here for? Sex?" You heard the sarcasm in his voice and almost smirked but held it back. "Tch, idiot of course not. I would say me, but you see there's a little problem with that." Levi turned back around to face her. "Tch what the hell could be stuck so far up your ass to make you think you could get away?" You let your smirk slip. "You." He furrowed his brows in confusion. "I would not like to be shoved up a filthy brat's ass." At the name 'brat' you perked up. That, caught his attention. Fuck, you showed him something. "Why get so damn perky at the name brat?" You just glared then walked towards the table with the money. "I have business to attend to so if you will excuse me." Right as you stepped out the door, you surprised to see you were outsmarted. Which made you smirk.

~Before this happened~

Levi sat in his chair and called Armin in. When the young cadet entered the room he saluted Levi. Which he waved away and told him to sit in the chair in front of him. "Corporal sir I am sorry about not keeping an eye on Eren I swear he was jus-" He was interrupted by Levi slamming his fist on the table. "Never. Speak before me Arlert. Understand? After all I need that brain of yours." Armin nodded. "Y-yes sir." He nodded at Armin's answer. "Look at this report then tell me your idea about it." Armin obeyed and read it over about 10 times before speaking again. "She's a pure genius. Maybe even smarter than me. I mean look at all of this. She's a genius in hiding herself and identity. However according to this information here at the bottom she is not smart enough to not give away where she lives. Actually it seems she works for an old lady in wall rose. I think if we can convince the old lady we can give this girl something to stop a bit for. That would give us the chance to follow her. We can't make it too obvious. So we would probably send you to her house. You would be the easiest to distract her. Since, you are -uh so cold, and yea. That's my thought sir." Levi's eyes glistened in amusement. "Brilliant thinking Arlert, go inform Erwin I have made a decision. Then send Ackerman and Braus to the old lady's shop to talk to her. Then send Jeager and Reiner to tell the garrisons to keep that area off limits. Then get Christa, Ymir, and Bertholdt to dress up as citizens. The rest of the cadets and squads will be on guarding and following duty." Armin nodded his head and left. "Now, I have got you in my grasp again (y/n)."
