The entire world seemed to slow to a stop. 'Savior' felt its carpet friend tremble beside him. It looked up into the sky at the machines, which were staring directly at 'Guardian'.

Mounted on top of the terrifying creatures were three white cloaks. One met 'Savior's eyes for half a second, and one word flowed through its mind: 'NO MERCY'.

All at once, a mechanical moan rumbled from inside the flying weapons. They shot downwards, straight at 'Guardian'.

'Guardian' staggered, sweeping across the ground in an attempt to escape. But the red search beams followed, and in an instant they latched their mouths onto the terrified god's robe. Doubling back, they twisted up into the air, carrying 'Guardian' with them.

A horrifying ripping noise caused 'Savior' to cringe, and it's carpet friend circled around it in alarm. The war machines released 'Guardian' after a few seconds, then flew into the clouds and out of sight.

The injured godly figure spiraled down and crashed into the sand with a sickening snap. Nobody dared to move. Even 'Savior's carpet companion fell into silence.

Then 'Savior' darted foreword, slinking towards the still body. White cloaks made shocked chirping noises as the small child crouched near the unmoving robe.

'Guardian's eyes no longer glowed. Upon physical touch, its robe did not glow, nor did its life symbol.

'Warrior' let out a triumphant cry. It fetched the piece of ribbon 'Guardian' had dropped prior to its brutal assassination and took to the skies on its carpet. Roaring was heard in the distance, and everyone flinched away with fearful chirrups. They hid in their homes, not intent on leaving anytime soon.

'Savior' nudged the body of 'Guardian', letting out solemn warbles. Its carpet friend, however, did not go near the fallen white cloak. It was too busy staring up at the sky, swirling around anxiously. It was obviously very afraid of the war machines, and for some reason kept trying to get 'Savior's attention.

It let out a ping, and a flood of meaning curled through 'Savior's head.

'Danger!'

'Savior' stood up, letting out a few final chirps of farewell to the white cloak, and turned its head to look into the sky. The machines were still flying around up there, and it's carpet friend had sensed it.

'Savior' scurried back into the nursery, the protective carpet right behind him. Peering back at the sky, 'Savior' saw the three creatures writhe to the mountain, twisting and looping in the air.

A grudge started to form in its head. They looked like they were having fun. Having FUN, after they attacked a defenseless white cloak. Whipping around, 'Savior' stormed to its nest, hopping inside and shivering with its carpet pet.

Then a thought formed in the little mind of the child.

It's carpet friend had emerged from the mountain shortly after it saw a roaring monster fly through the clouds. It's carpet friend had been injured by seemingly nothing. But maybe it had been the thing 'Savior' had seen. A war machine.

'Savior's carpet friend had remembered that. It had probably been a shocking incident for such a young creature.

Just as the traumatizing act of murder had scarred the mind of the little child. 'Savior' let out a chirp.

'Remember.'

'Remember', it's carpet friend, who served as a reminder of how cruel the war machines are.

And how dangerous anyone can be when their survival is threatened.
