As soon as the words fell out of my mouth I knew they needed to come back.  If I could’ve reached out and shoved them back in my mouth I would’ve without a second wasted.  But of course that’s impossible.  I may be insensitive but I wasn’t dumb.

As predicted, Mason and Sara looked at me shocked.  That look was followed by them glancing at each other shocked.  Then only to make the situation even more awkward they began laughing at me.  A tense, uncomfortable laughter, but it was laughter all the same.  Of course it just made me feel like an idiot.  I mean what kind of person says that in that kind of situation?  .

“That was blunt wasn’t it?” I said knowing the answer already.  The two of them continued laughing.  I shifted uncomfortably just staring at the pair cracking up.  Deciding I had done enough damage I decided to do the only thing I could think of, run away.

“You know I don’t even want to know,” I told them shaking my head and hands simultaneously, “I’m going to go change now,” I rattled off quickly before grabbing the swimsuit Sara was holding in her hands.  I didn’t even pause as I turned and trotted off at a near run.  Why is everything you do so awkward, Lilly? I thought bitterly to myself.

I didn’t even realize I had no idea where I was going to change until I finally paused for a moment to think.  The only two places I could think of to change at was the cabin I had seen earlier or in a bathroom.  Unfortunately I didn’t know if there were bathrooms around the lake nor did I know if I would even be able to change in the cabin I had seen earlier.  Not wanting to go back to the discomfort I had left behind, I decided to do the only other thing I could think of.  Change in Mason’s car.

Quickly, I made my way to where Mason had parked his car when we arrived.  As I approached it I prayed that he had been irresponsible and left it unlocked.  If he hadn’t I would have to go back to him and Sara and look like a bigger idiot than I already was.

When I pulled on his car door and it easily came open I nearly cheered in happiness.  I slipped inside it with a grin on my face.  Getting ready to change, I looked around to confirm there were no wandering teens around that might see me changing.  Satisfied when I didn’t see anyone, I slipped my pants off and put on the bikini bottoms with ease.

Now came the more noticeable part.  I looked around once again to make sure I was alone.  Once again seeing no one, I slipped my shirt off and began messing with my bra.  I pulled at the hook a few times but it didn’t snap off.  Frustrated, I began pulling and pushing hard on it hoping that would help.  At last it popped off and it fell off my chest.  Ha, I win. Nice try bra. I grinned at it satisfactorily in my lap.

Suddenly a long low whistle broke through my thoughts and I looked up with a start.  In front of the car much to my dismay stood two ogling teenage boys.  Stunned, I sat there a moment staring back at them with my hands down limp at my side wondering why they were looking at me like that.  That was until I remembered I still didn’t have a shirt on.  Once that thought clicked in my head, my hands covered my chest in a frenzy and I could feel my face flood with red.

“Nice rack,” one of the boys’ muffled voices rang out causing me to glare at them.  In any normal situation I would’ve got out of the car and began yelling at them, but I didn’t really have the guts to do it without a shirt on.   Instead I just sat there with my mouth hanging open and my pride disintegrating by the second.

Finally after what seemed like years, the boys finally got tired at staring at my boobs.  They left while hitting each other and laughing, probably feeling like the luckiest guys alive.  I just felt embarrassed.
