Later that day, My sister asked me to go with her somewhere. I don't have any idea where we are heading.

I plug my earphones on my ears and started playing "I hate u, I love u". I love listening to music whenever I travel.

A few hours later, We arrive in Houston.

"We're here, already. Better check all your things, we're staying for the night." My sister Bettina said.

I shrug my shoulder, knowing that I actually didn't bring any clothes with me.

I was busy checking my phone when I received a notification on Facebook saying that someone added me.

I touch the notification and start to stalk the person who added me.

I'm not that pretty, not even close. I am not that popular but many of the students in our place knows about my existence.

I just don't want to get their attention. People tend to make friends with you but then, later on, they'll make rumors about you. That's why I have a small circle of friends.

Jonathan Jamie Ravens

Sometimes I get too nosy about things.

I went to visit his wall and sightsee that He's from our school. He's from the Football Theme. Probably one of the teenage douchebags.

I continued my investigation.

I scrolled down only to see some tagged photos from some strangers. I opened it one by one and unlucky I remember these people.

I knew them.

Andrew's big circle of friends.

I sighed after seeing a couple of pictures of Andrew with a girl.

Ouch.

"Adrianne! Come on. It's getting pretty late." My sister said using her monotone loud voice.

I started walking in her direction to catch up with her.

Houston is really something. Buildings and the ambiance are far from our place. It's been hours since we left home and now I feel so homesick.

"Bettina, how did you know that it's him your mate?" I asked her.

Knowing that she'd get curious about what I just asked.

She stops a bit and jerks her head facing right through me.

"Ayee. I see you are in love." She said raising her one eyebrow.

I just shrugged my shoulders.

"I'm not. It's just that. I think I found him." I said shyly

We started walking at a small pace.

Side to side.

"Well. There's this feeling inside my chest and a voice coming inside my inner-self that he's the one. But you know love is very unpredictable. At first, I really hate him even though I knew that he's my mate. It's just that, he's so flirty before and it feels like I'm just his flavor of the month. If you know what I mean?" She continued talking and doing some little gestures in her movements.

I smiled. I know what she meant.

I saw her cry before. I know their love story.

She hated that man for making her feel vulnerable even if she's the toughest girl I know.

"I know. You cried a lot because of him. But the day you told him you are pregnant, did he easily accept it? That he's the biological dad?" I asked out of nowhere.

She stopped letting me walking way passed her.

"ARE.YOU.PREGNANT!?" she said half shouting

And then memories of last night poured time like rain.

Sh*t sh*t sh*t

Did we used protection!?

I'm too young.

"What!? No! I'm just asking..." I said using my super innocent tone.

I hope this works.

"Oh! I'll kill that mate of yours if you get pregnant. And you 100% know that Dad will too." She said.

"Well, yes. He easily accepted it. We started in the wrong foot but he knew that he's the only man I have sex with," She said smiling.

She's just too in love with him.

I hope one day love would find it's way to me.

I overheard someone before that some families are broken. So I don't want that to happen to me. That would be the biggest heartbreak that I'll get if that happens one day.

"But duh! If love doesn't work I guess you have to find a way to work it out " she stated.

My eyes widened in shock. Can she read my mind?

"No. I can't but you're actually whispering" she said while chuckling.

W H A T !!?
