‘Keep walking’
You're at the end of the pointed looks
To whom all the fingers point.
There's nothing worse than
Never failing to disappoint.
Not any quality you might possess
It's your shortcomings that are realized.
Your good may never be celebrated
But any bad in you will always be criticized.
It's an all-consuming weight
For with disappointment comes shame.
After all, they feel they have every right
To keep showering you with blame.
They're going to keep at it
All those snide looks and silent mocking.
When you're going through hell
All you can do, is chin up and just keep walking.
