Finding my Mate

Chapter 3

Carson's PoV

I woke up groggily feeling tired and sore everywhere. But I guess I did expect that since I'm newly shifted. I rubbed my eyes opened and stretched out of bed. Yawning. I look down at my best friend shaking me head at how she is still sleeping. When I got out of the bed I looked at the time, 10:00 am. Me and Shelby have plenty of time to hang out today. We don't have to go and meet up with out friends till 7:00.

I went downstairs and saw my brother making breakfast in just his boxers.

Shaking my head i went and sat down at one of the stools by the counter top watching my brother make French toast. I ate it hungrily while he kept making them.

"So Carson what do you plan on doing today?" He asked me. I looked up from my plate to look at my brother."Well today I plan on going shopping for a new outfit for tonight." She said. "Ok, just be carefule. Your a newly shifted female wolf, and other unmated males will take advantage of that." he said in a concerned voice. "yes dad," is say just to annoy him, while he rolls his eyes and shake his head. "Oh and Carson!" He yelled after me. "Don't forget I won't be home when you get back I have to got meet up with Alpha Mason to plan tonights Mate and Greet. So make sure to stop by the club 'Howling' so i can check up on you." "Will do!" I called back to him.

20 minutes later.....

Me and Shelby are in my car on our way to the mall. She turns to me and asks me how last night went. "So give me all the deets! What did it feel like? Did it hurt?" She said way to excited for me. "Well, at first it was the most painful thing I have ever endured. Worst than cramps, but it only lasted for like 3 minutes for me. I could feel all my bones popping and cracking and it felt like something was pulling me from like every direction." i finished off saying to her. "Whoa, do you feel any different?" "Yeah, like all my senses are heightened. I can see, smell, and hear everything much better and clearer. So try not to yell." I tell laughing, she just played it off and said another question. "So are you ready to find your mate?" "I guess, but I'm scared what if he rejects me? Or what if I'm not good enough for him?!" I shurgged saying. "Don't ever think that! He will be stupid to ever reject you! I mean look at you your gorgeous!" She says, now I feel new boost of confidence inside of me. "Your right I shouldn't have anything to worry about." I say pulling right up to the mall and parking.

Shelby and I head into the best dress shop here in the mall. We go here everytime because this store has very cheap, hot, dresses here. Me and Shelby both head off into different directions to shop for dresses but always meet back by the dressing rooms in 10 minutes. 

So far I have grabbed 7 dresses, and decide to head over to the dressing rooms. Once I've reached my destination I find that Shelby is already back there with a HUGE pile of dresses. I shake my head and laugh as she struggles to hold all the dresses up. I go and put my dresses into one of the dressing room and help her.

We both decided to head into the dressing rooms and come out at the same time to share our opinions. The first dress I try on is purple, its short at the thighs and its strapless with a sweet heart neckline. I walk out of the dressing room and see that Shelby is already put there waiting for me. She has on a red strapless dress that stops at her thighs. She interrupted my thoughts and said "So what do you think?" "Truth is try to go for something either blue or black, you always look good in those colors, and blue always brings out your eyes." I tell her honestly. "Your right i will narrow it to those color dresses. I love your Dress though, but you should also go for a black, light pink, or gold dress, those color you will most definatley look hot in!" She said, i just rolled my eyes for the choice of her words.

Next dress I come out in is a short tight strapless light pink dress with a light gold sparkle going down on it. I come out and ask Shelby for her opinion but she already said a 'HELL NO!!' I gave her a thumbs her up for her dress and said she absolutley had to buy it! It was so hot on her! It was a REAL short strapless blue dress and it was tight on her but in a flattering way. "You look hot Shelby! definatley get that and wear you black leather jacket with that, it will give you and edgy look." I said to her trying to convinving her to buy it. "Thanks! And I think you right I am gonna get this dress! Now hurry up and lets find you a dress. I'm starving it's 1:00 o'clock and I want to eat." I shook my head and put on another dress, this one is short, strapless, it's gold fabric color but around the bust its a more sparkly gold with a sweetheart neckline. "So what do you think of this one?" I asked her so she would look up from her phone. "It's so cute on you but not for tonight, you want something more sexy, that will have all the guys after you." "Your right." I got back into the dressing room to put on another dress.

Two rejected dresses later.....

I put on a a short, tight fitting, strapless black dress with a silver sparkling tiny design under the bust, and head out to the dressing room. "So what do you..." I was cut off short from Shelby yelling "You look so SEXY!! No guy is gonna be able to keep their hands off you!" I blush from the idea. "I guess I'm getting this one then."

After me and Shelby paid for our dresses we head out to the food court to get lunch. I go ahead and get some Dairy Queen. That consists of a double cheese burger, fries, and a strawberry banana julious. I love those things, there are so delicious and sweet. While I got my food and sat down I saw Shelby coming back with sushi. Yuck!

While me and her are eating we are checking out guys walking past us and rating them. I know that sounds bitchy of us, but what can I say we are 2 teenage girls that have nothing else to do.

After me and shelby are done eating we head back home to get ready.

Mason's PoV

Right now me and my Beta Cody are working the Mate and Greet we are hosting tonight.

"So how did your sisters shift go last night?" I asked him while we were organizing all the stuff thats supposed to happen tonight.

"She did well. I'm suprised, I thought she was gonna attack me when I confronted her to tell her to shift back." "Well that's good, I'm glad she didn't. Has she found her mate yet?" I asked, he just shook his head. "No she didn't, but I'm worried though because she's unmated and I know how unmated males can get." He said concerned. "Stop worrying bro, your sisters tough she will be fine." I assured him.

"Your right. Plus tonight all her friends are going out and partying, I told her to stop by here tonight so I could see how she was doing. Hell, I hope she will find her mate so nobody touches her." He said trying to convince himself that she needs a mate even though he and I both know he doesn't want that. He just wants his little sister to stay innocent and his littler sister. "Don't worry I will make sure her mate is in line." I told him trying to make him loosen up. " I just want what's best for her. I'm the only thing she's got our dad is never around and I just want to take care of her."

I feel for the guy. He had to take care of her since she was 14. Their mom died and their dad practically left them since then. So Of course Cody is protected of her. I would be too if I was in his situation.

"It's alright Cody if there's anything you need, just know I'm here for you." I said trying to comfort him. "Thanks man. You know you should really try to find your mate. And stop your player ways." He said laughing and shaking his head. "Yeah, I should but then I think about it if I really should have my mate then she would be here by now. But for now I think I'm gonna stick with my player ways." I said with a wink, he just rolled his eyes. "What ever you say man, but once you find your mate that's the only thing that can keep you happy and give only the best pleasure. Because you know that yet are yours and only yours."
