Curiosity

Chapter 1

Recap:

I sit there racking my brain by what she meant by curosity killed the cat.

I sit in the darkness of this place im in. Ive successfully controlled my breathing to deep breaths. I try to rememeber how i got here. Sitting i sqeeze my eyes shut hands in my hair praying to god i can get some kind of explanation. As i sit there i hear a heavy metal door scrape against cold hard stone ground. I look up and i see a light with a silhouette in it.

It walks closely towards me giving a glance but walks past my encagement. I now notice im in a cell somewhere. I dont bother to move knowing i cant really get out of here. I turn my attention to the silhouette. Its a man. By the looks of it hes built but not some much its scary. The light illuminates his features. He has tan skin with honey blonde hair. He has a intimidating presence but i keep my distance. I see him looking into a cell but i dont know whats in there.

He turns his focus to me and speaks.
"Hello, Aiden. You might be wondering why your here right? Well i cant disclose that but i can tell you you are special to the big man upstairs. Your all he ever talks about" he laughs. A deep dark laugh.
I glare at him with my best glare i could before i speak
"Why cant you fucking tell me why im here? Who the hell is the big guy upstairs?! You fuc-"
I hear a faint voice speak
"Its in your best intrest and health you dont talk to him like that" i look towards the sound and find the girl i was researching. Lydia Rhodes. Shes in a tattered clothes, a ripped white top stained with blood sweat and dirt. She wearing a pair of jeans ripped as well hanging loosely off her hips. Her dark brown hair is a mess.  Knotted dirty i wouldnt be surprise they starved her. The guy chuckles and i turn my attention towards him.

"What?" i grit through my teeth.
"Checking her out huh? Shes fun you know. Hard to get with that pretty littl-"
"SHUT UP YOU PATHETIC BASTARD" i scream. His eyes goes wide before he slams open the cell door coming towards me. My eyes go wide as i see him fastly approaching me cornering me. I sqeeze my eyes shut prepared for a beat down. I then hear a deep voice say "Dont you dare Leo" in a menacing tone. It sent a shiver down my spine.

I open my eyes to see Leo slowly drop his hand and give me a glare. He turns away in a huff and locks my cell door.
The man who spoke is nowhere to be seen.

Why was he protecting me? Im lost. Leo leaves and were once in the dark again as the only light source being the moon light coming from the window at the end of the hall. I turn my attention back to Lydia. I speak in the best caring voice i can.
"Your Lydia Rhodes?" i question.
Her eyes hold sadness and her features look surprised.
"Yes i am. May i ask who are you?" she smiles gently having some hope.
"Im Aiden Woods. I was reading about what happened to you when shit happened." i say to exhausted to tell the whole story.
"Well Aiden its nice to meet you, im sorry we met like this but i guess thats just how life is" she smiles sadly. A tear rolling down her cheek.

"Hey dont cry, its going to be okay ill get us out i promise" i say determined.
She gives me a small smile but shakes her head. "I wish, i have hope for you to get us out but believe me ive tried ive been here for almost a year ive broken out 3 times only to be caught and beaten for punishment." she pauses before speaking once more with a sad tone. "We wont get out Aiden, im sorry" she speaks as more tears gently cascade down her face.

"Lydia i promise you with my dying breath i will get you out if i die trying" i speak whole heartly. She smiles giving me some hope. The only thing is now i have to figure out how in the world am i going to get her out? That my friend is a really good question.
