Amelia's POV •

We get back to he house and I automatically walk into the kitchen. I see a face I didn't expect to see. "H-Hayes?" I say. "Hi," he says slumped over at the breakfast bar eating a bowl of cereal. "I didn't think you would come back" I say. "Yea well I do live here," he says. "Hey Amelia what do you-," Cam begins as he walks in but stopped as he noticed Hayes sat there. I watch the anger and frustration engulf his eyes. "You little bitch," he says before storming over to him. He stands up. "Come on Cam," he says. He grabs his shirt without hesitation and pins him up against the wall. Hayes' head smashes against the wall creating a crack from the sheer force of Cam. "Fuck bro that hurt," he says. "I am not your fucking bro you piece of shit," he says. "Cam please calm down," I say. "Please Cameron I love you please don't do anything stupid," I say.

He slowly drops Hayes and begins crying. I go over and hug him. "I'm so sorry Amelia. I'm a shit brother. I can never protect you like I want to," he says. "Cameron don't fucking say that, you are a perfect brother. I love you so fucking much." I say. "I didn't stop
Mom and Dad from sending you away, I didn't protect you at that party, for a start I shouldn't of even let you go to that party and now this with that prick over here," he says. "I use to treat you like shit Amelia and I am still so sorry about that Amelia. I am so sorry," he says with the tears still streaming down his cheeks and his arms wrapped around me. "Cam stop apologising. You are the best brother in the world. And I don't know what I would fucking do without you," I say. "Cute," says Hayes as he pulls his body off of the floor. "You are really pushing your fucking luck Hayes," I say.

"I don't give a fuck," he says before walking out. "I need to go talk to him," I say pulling away from Cam. "No Amelia," he says. "Yes Cam. I need to sort this out once and for all," I say walking off and going upstairs. I open Hayes door. "Shit Amelia," he says. "Would it kill you to knock," he says as I notice he in stood there in his underwear. "It's not like your naked. Nothing I haven't seen before," I say. "That's not the point," he says. "Honestly I don't care at the moment Hayes," I say.

"Why are you even here, to just have a fucking go at me because honestly Amelia, I can't deal with your bullshit right now," he says. "Hayes I just want to talk," I say. "Okay," he says while putting on a top and trousers. He sits  his bed and it goes silent for a few moments. "You going to sit or??" He says. "Oh yea," I say while sitting next to him. "Listen Hayes I just want to know, do you mean what you said?" I ask. "What do you mean?" He says. "You know, all that stuff about just using me and shit," I say. He sighs. "Do you want a fake  answer or the real, truthful answer?" He says. As soon as he said that I knew. He meant it. Something inside me wanted to ask for the fake one. Because I knew that was the one that wouldn't break my heart even further. However, I need to know the truth. "I need to know the truth Hayes," I say.

"No I didn't fucking mean it okay," he says. I knew it. I almost feel like I am about to cry. Wait wait wait a second. He didn't mean it? "Then wh-" I begin to ask before I am interrupted. "Because I was fucking scared, I am fucking scared. I don't want to fall in love with you Amelia Dallas. But, I think it is too fucking late," he says. "I didn't want to get fucking hurt because I now that I am not good enough for you. I know there will always be someone better for you because you are just, great. And honestly I was scared to disappoint you," he says.

Currently I am shocked. What the fuck just happened. This is too much to take in all at once.

I exit his room without a word.
