Danger zone

~Rose~

I look around and groan at the pain it brings me. I had tubes and wires stuck to me and the gang was sprawled out all around the hospital room. Ponyboy was holding my right hand while Johnny was holding my left.

I felt tears run down my face,the doc walks in. He had a sad look on his face. "Good your awake" Doc says. The gang instantly wakes up. "If I may talk to you guys" Doc says,motioning the gang out.

I lay my head back, I can only hear murmurs and a couple whimpers. The gang walks in,they all were crying but some were holding it in while Ponyboy and Johnny were bawling.

"Hey..Hey..guys it's ok..." I say softly. "N-no it's not!y-your dieing!" Ponyboy cries. I blink,I was surprised. The gang crowds around me and hugs me gently. "I'll be fine...I'll be at the house and running around before you know it" I say in a small desperate voice.

I start humming softly. I was feeling tireder and tireder. "Hey...can you get me a copy of Gone with the wind and Wuthering heights" I ask. They nod and hurry off. They came back an hour later.

"Hey..you guys can go home...come back tomorrow" I say softly,brushing my fingers through their hair and smiling slightly.

I look at my sketch pad. I write quickly.

But if you read this I'm getting tireder and tireder. I'll fight but if I go please please stick together. I love you all. I very much love you Pone and my puppy Johnny. Go look in the Art Studio. I left you guys presents.

I fold the paper and tuck it into the book covers. I lean back and close my eyes. I hear a loud beeping before waves of shock go through me. "She's going into a coma!" a voice says,Just then I slip into a darkness and nightmares

A couple years later

-Ponyboy-

"Please come back,please Rosebud" I say desperately. "Hey Ponyboy,I found this in a book" Soda says. I take it and read it over and over again. I let out a cry and grumple on the bed sobbing. Soda and the rest of the gang reads it.

"Hey!she moved!Ponyboy guys!she moved!" Johnny yells. I look up and Rose's eyelids flutter open. I'm met with pretty wide grey eyes.
I kiss her right then and there. I hear wolf whistles. "I-I wanna go h-home" she whimpers. I nod and run to get a doctor.

The doc says she has to wait a week before being released. I spent that week by her side. Helping feed her and take care of her. She was me and Johnny's girl. "Puppy" I hear her mumble,she's been calling for me and Johnny in her sleep all week. "Hey hey I'm right her,Rosemary" Johnny says,squeezing her hand.

"Pone" She murmurs. "Right here,Rosebud" I say,kissing her cheek. I hear a camera flash. Me and Johnny grin before we kiss her on the cheek at the same time,me on her left him on her right. There was a lot of camera flashes.

"Rose,who saved you" a reporter asks. "The gang and the shepherds" she says, she sits up some. "Who did this" another asks. "Sherri,Marcia,Bob, and Randy with a couple others" She answers. "Who are your friends" another asks.

"Dallas,Darry,Sodapop,Steve,Two-bit,Curly, and Tim.....I'm Johnny and Ponyboy's girl" she says sleeply. Me and Johnny kiss her again,more cameras. "Why did those kids do that?" another asks.

"Cause I stole Ponyboy and Johnny from them" she answers. "One more question, who do you like the most?" reporter says. "Johnny and Ponyboy" she answers. I look at Johnny we high five but,Rose wraps her arms around our hands. More cameras.

"Ponyboy, Johnny,and me...

Just Puppy, Pone, and me..

Just Pone,Puppy, and me" she sings in a sleepy voice. We shoo the reporters out. "Read to me" she says. Me and Johnny lay down beside her,our hands intertwined. I read before we fall asleep, I hear cameras flash before I'm met by darkness.

Morning

I look at the newspaper,it was all about me,the hoods, and the gang. I show it to Johnny and Ponyboy. It had a lot of pics of them kissing me and one of us asleep. I smile and put it on the coffee table, I was finally out the hospital. I watch Mickey Mouse before falling asleep.

"Rose,Rose wakie wakie" a voice says, I look up at the gang. I jump up. "Did you see the newspaper" I ask. They look at it. "Pone,Puppy,and me" I sing softly,watching Mickey Mouse. I hear the door open then the hoods spill in.

"Your okay" Curly says,hugging me and twirling me around. "Thanks to you and your brother" I say softly. The hood and gang sit around watching Mickey Mouse. I accidentally fell asleep happily.....
